A murder-mystery Roleplay based off of the best-selling Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None

The Premise

Year: 1942
Location: Britain

Ten people of various social classes, who have previously been complicit in the deaths of others but have escaped notice or punishment (details should be included in the 'History' section of your sign-up), are invited to visit the island-home of millionaire businessman Mr. Ulick Norman Owen, each for varying reasons (details should be included in the 'Invitation' section of your sign-up). Upon arriving on the island, via ferry, it is eventually discovered that Mr. Owen does not exist - however, there are no telephone lines on the island, and the next ferry will not arrive for another week, so the group decides to stay in the apparently abandoned (though suspiciously well-kempt) island mansion. As the story progresses, members of the group are quietly done away with by a thus-far unknown killer. The group tries desperately to identify the killer and put a stop to the killings; or at the very least, survive until the next ferry to the island arrives.

History: Mia has led a rather checkered life. From a early age, she started performing, and recently was on trial for the murder of her violent ex boyfriend, however, the "crucial evidence", needed to convict her vanished, and she was declared not guilty. While she didn't actually commit the murder, she did actually have a hand in his death by helping the real killer flee the country. Ever since then, knowing that she has helped a killer, she has been plagued with guilt, and hopes to begin a path of redemption.

Invitation: Mia came across her invitation a few days before after a young man personally handed it to her after a play rehearsal.
"According to the invitation, this "Mr Owen was a millionaire, who was fan of her work, and wanted to make her an offer, "that she couldn't refuse"....

Intrigued by the last part, and flattered, she decides to accept, as she never knew that anyone was still living on soldier island, let alone a millionaire businessman also, she sees this as an opportunity to "regroup". to get away from it all, and consider her next move.

History: Basil was originally notorious for his short temper, a problem he overcame five years prior to the events of the RP. During that time, he was not one to take jokes against him lightly. One evening when he was younger, his rival in book-writing, one Samuel Varney, stole a draft copy of one of his upcoming novels and passed it off as his own, getting him awards, leaving Basil with the mark of a jealous copycat. A week later, Varney was found dead in his home, stabbed through the jugular vein with a pair of sharp scissors, though nobody suspected Basil whom, by the time this was discovered, had faked his own death and left the country to start a new life abroad. Thus far, he has remained undetected as still alive, never mind as Varney's killer.

Invitation: He came across the invite on his coffee table in his flat. It invited him to the island upon the premise that he could 'get away from it all', as work had been piling on top of him of late. He gladly accepted the invite, and went to the island.

Name: Stephanos Hyrtakenos

Age: 64

Gender: Male

Occupation: President and owner of “Hyrtakenos Oil” an oil company based out of the middle east that operates with support of the Commonwealth. It is rumored, that in area’s under occupation of the Axis armies, that the company has discretely provided funding to the Axis war machine in order to stay in business. There is no evidence of this however. Hyrtakenos Oil has also purchased several ice-breakers recently, word of mouth has it, they’re attempting to set up a rig in the harsh north.

History: After inheriting a small fortune from his father at a young age, Stephanos invested in several European colonization efforts (often to the determent of the natives) and made a tidy profit running a small trading business. By 1900, he’d stumbled upon a large deposit of oil in Arabia-trouble is, a small tribe of natives had also settled upon the spot and refused to move. ‘Thankfully’ it was soon discovered that the natives had murdered a British officer, in reality, it was a hoax set up by Stephanos to engineer the removal of the tribe (by force if needed). During the following incident, thirteen tribesmen died. All for his oil.

Once he got a small well up in that location…the money started rolling in and he expanded his operations. Again and again. Now he controls a large financial empire, he has wells and ‘protective’ hired guns stationed all over the middle east. He is, in sum, one of the wealthiest men in Britain.

Invitation: He was led to believe by the invitation (received from a ‘trusted source’ located in Vichy France) that Mr. Ulick Norman Owen wished to invest in his business. Stephanos moved quickly-forgoing his normal bodyguards for a single Luger pistol sent to him by a relative who fought during the battle of France.

Age: 29 and a half

Occupation: Jasper Hustler owns the multi-million dollar business called "HustCo." that has a lot of their business chains in New York, Boston, LA, London and Edinburgh.
History: Jasper Hustler was born with a very private life to follow. His mother died shortly after the birth of his younger brother, John, who is associated with Jasper's business as his financial assistant. Every thinks that his mother died of childbirth while only Jasper and his father know that while he was 9, he got "double dared" into setting up his mother's death. He feels very guilty from being his mother's "manslayer" as they called it at that time.

Since the age of 20, Jasper has hardly ever leaves his spacious apartment, mainly because of the guilt, and only leaves on important business and banquets/parties. Jasper met Mr. Owen at a banquet which happened around the time his business expanded to the UK. They have became good friends since.
Invitation: Jasper was never expecting an invite to go see Mr. Owen on the island. He was told that they would discuss a business plan and ponder over having new business chains in the rest of Europe.
