Thread: A Tale of Daemons

In a parralel Universe, geographically the same as ours. A strange species known as Daemons lives alongside humans. They come from yet another Universe, and are summoned whenever they are needed. The people that have this ability are known as Magicians. They are the leaders of our world. All the greatest people from history, Henry V, George Washingon, Gengis Khan, Ghandi, were Magicians. Now, in the present day, Magicians struggle for power with each other.

Daemon:

The spirits have been ranked and categorised by magicians according to their power

Imps are the lowest class of spirit. They have very little power and are quite immature
Namtar are slightly more powerful than imps, and more intelligent
Yokai are a still quite weak class of spirit.
Djinn are the average (median) class of spirit.
Ifrits are very powerful, and only skilled magicians are able to summon them. However they are quite unintelligent.
Marids are the most powerful class usually summoned, and then only by the most powerful magicians. They rely on brute force alone.

Above that there are the Gallu, who are almost impossible to summon. All Daemons can shape-shift.

The RP is set in London, the magical hub of the world. The RP will be centred around the power struggle of magicians. Most Magicians are taught privately.

Personality: Ophelia is very chaotic,and will leave distruction wherever it goes. Ophelia is at a rivalry with (water ifrit), and Ophelia's main cause is to destroy everything. Because Ophelia is so chaotic, it was imprisoned in stone by Henry V.

Appearance: Ophilia has a head made of flame, and wears a red kimono. It carries a huge stick, which it uses to leave trails of fire wherever it goes.

I like this plot because of reasons, but both of you are too new to get it.

Is there any reason to have a daemon of a lower rank? If I choose an Imp or something, everyone else will be stronger than me. And Majin, be nice.

What's the point of not being a great trainer in an Academy? Also each class has its own minor personality differences, with Imps being quite mischevious, Djinn being cunning, and Marids and Ifrits being quite thick.

If you're presented the choice of being one or not being one, then there really isn't, since the other characters won't have any use for you. I mean, why be Krillin when you can be Goku? Anyway, are we making our own demons, or partnering with another person's? And if it's the latter, will it be here, or in the RP?

Occupation: Aspiring magician. He paints in his spare time to fund his living in London.

Appearance: Hector is about average height, at 5'11, and has pale skin. His face is constantly rosey coloured, as if he just came in from a very cold day. His hair is somewhat curly and black, and goes down to just below his ears. His eyes are a very pale blue, close to grey, and go well with his rectangular, silver-rimmed glasses. Jean's very slim, with a lanky body. His lack of muscle can be seen quite easily due to the fact he usually wears t-shirts, so he usually combines this with an aviator jacket. He usually wears cargo pants, which usually contain small objects he finds in the pockets.

Accepted. You can "create" daemons to summon, or use existing ones in the RP.

Master: Anony Mouse
Personality: Kara is intelligent, even for an Ifrit, and very sweet. She isn't a big fan of violence, but she will fight if it's needed. She often turns into a winged wolf creature.

Magician - Maria Carlene/Anony Mouse

Name: Maria Carlene. When she's a knight, nobody knows she she is, so they call her the 'Anony Mouse'.

Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Occupation: Knight. With magic. :I
Appearance: Anony wears a leather vest as a sort of protective armor and has a sword with magical properties. She also has leather boots, along with thick pants and long-sleeve shirt. She also has a helmet that covers her hair and face. making her difficult to identify. When she's not being a knight, she wears a simple T-shirt and shorts, but she can instantly magically switch between the two outfits.
Other: She is a powerful magician, but specializes in physical attacks and therefore often summons daemons when she needs to do something that isn't physical.
Also, I bet you're wondering how she became a powerful knight at 14 years old. She was trained very hard from when she was very small.
Oh, and her parents don't know that she's a knight or even that she's a magician. She goes to school. Usually, she does her stuff by night, but she finds ways to escape school if anything comes up in the daytime. Her completely different outfit stops almost everyone from linking her two identities.

Can we not have the Gallu in the RP? Otherwise accepted.

Yep, sure. Thanks. I recommend that you put something in the Daemon desc. that nobody can use them without special permission or something.

Personality: Kusinagi was a samurai in Japan. When he died, part of his soul splintered off into his sword. He's a fairly serene demon, and dislikes fighting. Unfortunately, he kinda doesn't have a choice, since he's presently a sword. So his only desire is that his master only uses him to fight bad guys.

Occupation: The head of Atak Corporations, a company that sells magical items. He made his first million at 17 after dropping out at school.

Appearance: Tall and quite weedy, Haman wears expensive clothes, usually a grey suit with a purple shirt and a cravat. He gels his hair into a quiff and wears designer glasses. He has a tanned face and brown eyes.

Personality: Like most Imps, he is mischevious. He likes to play practical jokes on his fellow daemons. However. he sucks up to Haman or any of his masters.


Name: Halamisdu

Element: Fire

Age: 5,000 approx

Master: No-one

Personality: Halamisdu is a pensive Daemon, and, when not summoned, often spends hours in the Other Place thinking. Once on Earth, he tries to undermine his master's control, seeking loopholes in his commands. However, if he has a strong master, he respects them.

Master: Haman Atak, he is his bodyguard and general gofer

Personality: Not the brightest of Daemons, Galaman makes up for his lack of intelligence with force, and if a useful daemon. He also has a short temper easily ignited by a semi-intelligent Imp.

Name: Mikio White. As a Magi she's Karma.

Occupation: Magi

Appearance: She has shoulder length red hair and green eyes. She wears a blue and red outfit and has black and white shoes. 5' 7" and weighs average weigh to height.

Master: Karma.

Personality: Tarli is a crazy and outgoing daemon with a lot going on. The element and master is what it lives for.
