Thread: Super Smash Brothers: Rise of the Dark Emperor *Start Up!*

Spyro looked to Dante. "Thanks a lot, this guy isn't easy to handle!" he stated, dodging as Tartarus tried to hit Kirby but missed. Spyro jumpped up and spat an ice bomb, freezing the Brute's legs to the ground. He then looked back to Dante. "Hey...you haven't happen to see a black Dragon about my age, have you?"

Kirby took the opportunity to jump back and collect himself, checking over himself to see if there were any signs he was injured. There was nothing too painful, but Kirby took the time to relax for a minute. He even stuck his tounge out at Tartarus once he was out of reach.

Spyro dodged several swings of the Brute's hammer, then got in close and shocked him with his electric breath. He looked at Kirby. "Wait...I think that's Kirby isn't it?" he asked himself, then dodged another hammer swing. "Samus said something important about him..." he said, trying to recall it. He then headbutted Tartarus in the stomach, forcing him back. "Oh yeah, he can copy the powers of the other Smashers," he said, remembering. "Well, he's at his strongest then..." he said, and ran over to Kirby. "Kirby is it? Copy my power, that should help even the odds." he said, aware it was unpleasent, but unlike monsters, it was harmless to the other Smashers.

Kirby nodded then opened his gigantic mouth, sucking Spyro into it and then copying his powers, releasing Spyro out of his, erm, rear side. He was now in a costume, and could spit out fire, ice, and electricity like Spyro. He re-froze the ice around Tartarus, then shot a blast of fire at the Brute's hammer and arm. He launched electricity at the other arm.

Spyro looked rather grossed out. "Ok, I'm glad Sparx wasn't here to see that." he muttered, shaking himself off. While Tartarus was imobilized, Spyro flew up in his face. "Where is Cynder? If you know I know about that armored...monster, then you know where she is! Tell me!" he demanded, furious.

The Brute chuckled. "With the Emperor, but you'll find out soon enough what he wants with her." he said, rearing back and headbutting Spyro into Kirby, freeing himself.

And was grabbed by Dante and was picked up and slammed into the ground harm. Dante took out his sword and did the come on stance.

"Okay, this is boring, I'm going." Mugen says, having gotten tired of the fight. "I'mma give Cynder the fight of her life when I find her, making me look for her...Where would she be, anyway? You seem to know her pretty well." Mugen asks Samus.

"Find Spyro, they're mates, though boyfriend and girlfriend is closer to the truth, but they're Dragons, so it doesn't sound right." said Samus. "Their section of the planet is in the mountains, if they weren't ambushed on the way here or something, that's where they'd be."

The Brute roared and charged, trying to smash him with his hammer, only for his hammer wielding hand to be burned by Spyro's flames, causing him to roar in pain. The young dragon charged, ramming Tartarus in the back, staggering him forwards and leaving him open for Dante to hit.

"Right, because boyfriend and girlfriend always travel together." Mugen says, getting up and stretching. "If she's in trouble, odds are he doesn't know or is dead. If she isn't, there's no reason for this. Then again, he's the best lead." Mugen says, as he gets up to leave, turning on his beam katana, Lily, a 2.5 foot long red one and heading for the mountains.

"He can't be dead, we're immortal here, remember?" asked Samus with a sigh. "Newbies." she muttered, following. "He might have been turned into a trophey though, so he might as well be until someone revives him." she explained. "And the reason they travel togather is simple, they're been through just about everything togather," she explained. "Including the end and restoration of their world." she continued. "And trust me, I know Cynder, she wouldn't stand you up for a fight unless something urgent or terrible happened to her or Spyro."

Dante took the change and activated his Final Smash, transforming his body into his Devil Trigger form. He ran to the Brute and utilized his Stinger maneuver.

Tartarus was sent flying back by the attack. Spyro was quickly on him, the brute knew where Cynder was, and he intended to find out. He headbutted Tartarus in the gut, then tailwhipped him in the head. "What does the Emperor want with her? Where is she?" he demanded.

Tartarus smirked. "Are you sure you want to know that, young dragon?" he asked, getting up. "Maybe she willingly went with him, she has been a villain before you know, maybe she missed it."

Spyro snarled in rage, not noticing that this manner of speech wasn't normal for Tartarus, it seemed almost rehersed. "No! Cynder isn't like that! She's changed!"

"Sure, she's changed, but evil isn't so easy to get rid of, is it?" said the brute. "Maybe a part of her loved what she did to your people, relished in their suffering."

Spyro got even angrier. Cynder had been a monster, and awful tyrant, but it wasn't her fault, she'd been controlled. Since he'd freed her, Cynder was always haunted by what she'd done while in her evil form, other people refusing to forgive her for something she couldn't control didn't help. That's why Spyro was mad, Cynder had tried so hard to change both herself and the opinion of others so she could move on, and this brute was trying to make a mockery of that. He charged and headbutted Tartarus in the stomach, then flipped forwards and tailwhiped him in the face. He blasted him point blank in the face with his flames, then blasted him with his Lightning Breath, and keeping it up intencely, almost torturing him.

The Emperor chuckled, watching this display, his eyes glowing red, him telling Tartarus what to tell Spyro. "That's right, give into your rage, you know what happened last time you did, you turned into Dark Spyro, hopefully that will happen again." he said. "Then we'll see how easily you return without Cynder there to pull you back to your senses."

Dante walked over to Spyro and pulled him off, arm on his neck and torso as he pulled the dragonling off of the Brute. "Hey, Puff, calm down!" He said, then jump backwards and slammed him into a convenient puddle of water. Which just so happens to be bitter cold.

Spyro hit the watter and shivered a lot, being a reptile it was a bit more harsh than a mammal would find it. It was also enough to snap him out of his rage and let him realize he was going too far, which he knew could trigger his Dark Spyro form. He calmed himself, managing to regain control. "Thanks, I needed that." he said, shaking himself off to see that the Brute was still getting up and reaching for his hammer. Spyro sent a Ice Bomb, freezing his hand solid. "Please, can you finish the job...I'm kinda afraid of what I might do if I try right now..." he said, a little shaken. "If I lose control too much, I turn into an evil version of myself, and Cynder isn't here to pull me back, so far she's the only one that was ever able to..."

The Emperor shrugged. "Oh well, not that we've lost in the deal, his spirit is shaken as I expected, and I can always try again later." he said. "Now, let's see who else has some skeletons I can dig up." he said, looking through cameras.

OOC: Ok, reguardless of what happens, I'm moving the story along tonight, so if Link and Mario don't finish their match by then, it'll just have to be interupted, gotta keep things intresting.

"Hmph, I'll do it, he's from my world." said Noble 4 standing up.

He threw his hands into the air and instantly an Energy Sword appeared as his first random weapon. "Time to carve you up." he said and dashed forward faster then you think he could in such armor. He threw his sword into the ice block sending down a spider-web like crack. He then jump kicked the sword making it go further into the ice block, completely cracking the ice and Tartarus. He picked up the sword and saluted the dead body with two fingers, then turned back to the group.

Mario pulled out FLOOD and started to charge him up. He then ran forward, shooting multiple fireballs at Link.
