Thread: Super Smash Brothers: Rise of the Dark Emperor *Start Up!*

"Guys, looks like we've got a storm we're going to have to go through ahead, hang on." said Samus, directing them into the storm gently, some turbulence occured but the ship held steady.

The Emperor laughed as he watched the gunship entered the storm. "That's right, fly right where I want you." he said, looking down at a monitor were ruins were displayed floating in the sky in the center of the storm.

The Galacta Knight watched this from his picked out room, impressed, his rival was as skilled as ever, maybe something more challenging.

A three larger versions of the mace knight appeared and charged Meta Knight.

Spyro looked to Link. "Please come help me, I can't save Cynder alone...I don't even know how I'm going to fight her." he said, looking extrmely distraught.

"Don't worry, young hero." said Zelda, calmly walking over. "I am Princess Zelda of Hyrule," she explained, kneeling next to him. "Link is very trust worthy at saving people, I know that firsthand." she said, putting a comforting hand on Spyro's shoulder. She looked up to Link, standing up. "The world is in termiole yet again, hero of Hyrule. And while Cynder is but a small piece of the puzzle, it's all we know for now, may I please task you with helpping Spyro with her safe return?"

OOC: Also, as for the NPC characters, like the roster from the other games, if you feel they'd help move your subquest along, by all means 'borrow' them, just consider them in the 'party' everyone can use if not presently in use, but ask first so I can mark them until you're done using them. I'm going to put them on the disccussion thread. Some won't be included as they're bad guys here.

Devon radioed Samus. "Hey, let me check out this storm, I'll be back in 5. Over." he said and turned on the Banshee's booster rockets and sped into the storm.

OOC: Do what you will to me.

Cynder, having been waiting in the storm, flew over the banshee before flying off into the clouds. "What's amatter, human? Going to follow me or not?" she yelled out in the storm, flashes of lighting illumenating her in the darkness so she could be followed and lure them where her master wanted them.

"Samus, don't tell Spyro but I'm in hot pursuit of Cynder." said Noble 4, firing every type of gun he had on the Banshee while boosting towards Cynder.

"How can I tell Spyro? He's not even here." said Samus. "Just be careful, Cynder is tough, and remember, the real Cynder is trapped in there somewhere."

Cynder seemed to laugh as she dodged and sent a jew of Shadow Fire passed the Banshee, barely missing. She flew into a clearing in the clouds and vanished, but the clearing housed ancient floating ruins coving a large part of the area.

Meanwhile...

Arceus, in his Flying Type form, flew several hundred feet behind the gunship. Kirby rode, somewhat uncomfortably, on his back. Suddenly, Arceus began slowing down and losing altitude. Without his Plates, Arceus could only stay at a certain type for so long. He summoned up every ounce of energy in his body and flew onto the gunship. A bright light flashed, and Arceus was back to normal type.

"I know a way to get in," Arceus said to Kirby using telepathy, and used Cosmic Power. His defenses were raised, and Arceus moved towards the nearest window of the gunship.

"Now attack me," Arceus said using telepathy, preparing his Future Sight. "It's the only way to use my attack."

Kirby obediently attacked Arceus weakly, and Arceus's Future Sight kicked in. The window was smashed, and both Arceus and Kirby stepped into the gunship.

In the distance, a red and black bi-plane flew right into the storm. It was flown by Dante, he peerless under the storm as lightning flashed around him.

Noble 4 looked at the ruins in awe but then caught up with Cynder. "Sorry little miss dragon, but my orders are to take you down." said Noble 4 and manuvered so he was on top of her. He then set the selfdestruct sequence and he jumped onto one of the ruins, the Banshee ready to explode on Cynders back.

OOC: Can Dante pick me up please.

Samus spun around and pointed her gun at them. She noticed who they were a lowered it. "Dang it! Don't do that!" she yelled. "How'd things end up back at the arena?"

Cynder used her Shadow power to vanish into thinair, dodging the banshee and allowing her to escape as it exploded in the background.

OOC: Just to explain the slight reference, I based those mace-on-a-chain wielding knights off the knights from Twilight Princess that utilized the same weapon.


Meta Knight looked at the behemoth. He may be be the biggest or burliest Smasher, but he made up for that with accuracy and agility. He flew out of the way of the beast's weapon, which made the ground quake on impact, and Meta Knight tossed his sword through the creature, although his blade was too small to make significant damage. However, once the sword went through the creature, Meta Knight transported himself to the other side of the knight, catching his sword, and throwing it at a different angle. He then repeated the process over and over again with such rapid succession, that after a while, the knight let out a bellow and fell to the ground.

Suddenly, the roar of a plane zoomed in, picking up Noble 4 with the spare seat in the back. "Going my way?" Dante yelled above the storm while setting his sights on Cyder and gripped machine guns, and the sound of gunfire thundered at Cynder, red hot bullets flying at her.

"Cynder? Yes! A rematch! 'Even the greatest wall will collapse if a single lunatic rams himself into it a million times." He says, getting on the roof again and firing orbs of Ki. "Y'know, I really should've learned last time that getting on top of a moving air vehicle tends to be a bad idea. Samus, whatever you do, don't do a barrel roll!"

Cynder roared and snarled. "You don't know when to give up!" she roared. She dove down, flying into the ruins and disappearing inside, while she could just close her wings and walk, the others would have to disembark and follow on foot.

Samus growled, landing on the ruins. She got out of the gunship and looked around. "Floating ruins? Seen it." she said. "Still, strange its in a storm." she stated. "Cynder wanted us here for some reason, better be on the look out."

The Galacta Knight nodded and decided Meta Knight had proven his worth, and prepared for the battle.

OOC: Omrare, Spyro and Zelda are talking to Link.

And Dante flew in towards Cynder, not afraid, still firing off. He grabbed Noble 4 and jumped out, he crashing into the floor upon impact, his plane crashing into the Ruins. At the impact site, only a trophy of Dante's plane remained.

OOC: Ah. Forgot that.


Link bowed respectively, making sure to recognize her position as the princess of Hyrule. He then pointed over in the ruins, signifying that Cynder was inside.

Meta Knight brandished his sword. "So, the former strongest warrior in the galaxy has decided to challenge me once again. So it shall be. I, Meta Knight, shall show you what true power is!"

CUE THE MUSIC!!

Meta Knight wasted no time in attacking Galacta Knight, flying into the air and dive-bombing him with Galaxia, his trusty blade.
