    Sophia turned away.

"Exactly. What does it matter now if the world knows? Now, I must go before they begin searching for me."

OOC: I'll be back in an hour. I have to give my brain a rest for my next post. It shall be huge.

Nikita stepped away from the others.

    OOC: Here we go...

Aramis sat in his office, deep underground, within Project HQ. He liked to seclude himself, and had deemed the lowest level to be the most isolated. Sandy entered the office, a girl behind her. "So, you finally found a subject for Vi-In? Wonderful."
The girl found this young man familiar. "Who are you?" She asked hesitantly.
"Aramis Petridis, but you can call me 'grandpa'. I am your mother's father, after all."
The girl looked at him as if he was crazy, then realized that he looked just like her grandfather in old family photos. "H-how is...?"
"I had the lab boys do a little modification. I couldn't very well manage this operation as I was. No one would ever suspect a teen to be running this whole thing, now would they?"
"Uh, what is the operation, and why am I here?"
"It just so happens that you're compatible with Vi-In, something the lab boys have been working on for 11 years straight. We've searched data records of everyone in the world, and when we had only a million people left, we stumbled upon you. Neat coincidence, huh?"
    "What does it do?"
"You're about to find out. Now, do you want to take it by injection, inhalation, or cheesecake?"
"Cheesecake, I guess, if I have to."
"Very well." Aramis reached under his overly large desk, and into the mini-fridge he hid under it. He always felt the need to prepare for nearly every scenario, except the ones that involved plywood, for some reason. He set a plate on the table, with a spoon, a fork, a knife, and a rather delicious-looking piece of cheesecake on it. "Dig in."
The girl reluctantly sat in one of the chairs opposite from him and began eating. "The effects will become apparent shortly. Would you like to take a nap in the meantime? We have a rather luxurious bedroom next to my office."
    "Uh, will it help?"
"The lab boys say that it will."
"Then, yes." The girl finished the slice and got up. Sandy pointed to the right of the room.
"That one." The girl entered the room and plopped on the king-sized bed, falling asleep quickly. She woke up to see reality melting around her.

No, it wasn't melting... It was clarifying itself, as if life were a foreign language, and she had just now been given a universal translator. Everything became visible, all at once, all of existence and more seemingly shrank until it could fit in her hand, but, to her surprise, she didn't have hands, nor feet, not even eyes. But paradoxically, she had all eyes, all appendages. Then, her gaze wandered to the room, where a girl slept. That girl... Is me? Her mind stretched, reformatting so that she could focus on an infinity of things at a single time, and one node wandered back into the body, waking it up.

"What am I?" Then she remembered last night's dream. It had been possibly the most vivid dream she'd ever had. I look different, I think differently... The Project! So, I'm a Merge? Arceus... Yes, that's it. And Kathrine, from my dream, she was... The girl's mind sped up drastically, each microsecond yielding more thoughts than there were particles in the multiverse.
"Would you mind doing me a favor?" She already knew it was her grandfather who was asking, and she already knew what he was asking.
"I'll dispatch them with finesse and pleasure, grandfather." The girl vanished, pulling herself out of reality and letting herself back in somewhere else.
    "Thank you, Helen."

Helen knelt on the roof of a building, gazing down to a window on the opposite side of the street, where a Merge was puking into a paper bag. She grinned slightly. "I see you all, there. Come on out, if you would..." She did the same warping trick with her voice, so that her targets could hear her, but no one else could.

    OOC: Whoa. Awesome.

"Wh-what?! Who?" Scorpion asked nervously. "You come out!!"
Erina pawed hoofed handed scratched at the ground.

OOC: Okay, seriously, what am I supposed to call that?! >:I

"What do we do?" Laura whispered, her voice shaking.
"Mortal?! And what do you call yourself?!"

"Really. And yet getting us outside in the first place seems to be too much of a challenge for you, but you want us outside, so there'll be more of one?"
Erin flew up to Scorpion's shoulder. "Taunting this person isn't advisable. We don't know who they are or how powerful they are yet... Just stop, okay? They'll get mad..." he said quietly.

Horrified, Lindsey stepped back from the window a little. "Wh-why...?"

Laura, automatically behind Lindsey, said, "D-do you guys think it's safe...?"
Erina frowned. "She said she could get us out anyway..."
"We should run away..." Laura whispered.
"Where to? Frankly, though I wouldn't say it's necessarily a good option, I'd say our best choice is to go outside to... whoever's outside."
