IOC:Derek walked up to the battlefield."Hi,you must be Bailey.I'm Derek."he said to the girl at the field.

OOC: @xelda57; I'm your next opponent. Derek's battling the winner of Reece vs Jessica, which is to be held now.

Luna approached a boy with a Litwick with a smile. "Hello! Are you Sam? We're battling next, so let's go to the battlefield! This will be my first battle here!"

OOC: Zorua's moveset: Scratch, Fake Tears, Fury Swipes, Pursuit.

"Great, I hope that I'll be a good opponent!" Sam replied. He walked over to the battlefield and stood opposite Luna.

"Go Litwick!" he shouted and the Pokémon jumped forward.

OOC: As Litwick's level 13 now I'm updating his moveset with Night Shade and Confuse Ray. Anyone in the semis has lv 13, anyone who was knocked out in the quarters has lv 11. Update your movesets accordingly.

OOC: Ok, thanks- and what level do I start with? Also, am I limited by total amount of moves like in the games, or do they just accumulate?

"I'll try to be one, too! Midnight, let's go!" The Zorua jumped forward, not yet using her Illusion ability.
"Use Scratch!" Zorua ran forward quickly, readying for the attack as she went.

OOC: As you would have started at the beginning of the tournament amd you've hypothetically beaten two people you're at level 13 too.

The Scratch passed through Litwick like a knife through butter.

"Litwick's a Ghost Type!" Sam shouted across the battlefield. "Normal type moves won't work against him. Litwick, use Confuse Ray while Zorua is close," he commanded.

OOC: Thanks

"Ah! Of course!" Luna said. Zorua was confused by the move. "Midnight! You can do it! Focus, please! Use pursuit!" Despite its confusion, Zorua attacked once again, though this one was a little off-balance. Zorua was approaching Litwick with far too much speed.

"Litwick, use Minimize to dodge it!" Litwick shrunk to a fraction of its former size and the attack barely clipped him. He grew back again and Sam watched Zorua standing right behind him.

"Litwick, use Smog to cover the field and block out Luna's commands!" Litwick sent grey gas in all directions to envelope the field.

"NEW MOON! PURSUIT AGAIN!" Luna yelled, but her effort was in vain. Turning to Sam, she inquired, "If Midnight can't hear my commands, doesn't that mean the same goes for you and your Litwick?"

"Oh damn, I hope that you're wrong. Litwick, use Fire Spin!" Nothing happened. Both trainers had to wait until the fog had cleared. Zorua was standing bolt upright, it was no longer confused.

"Litwick, use Fire Spin!" The Candle Pokemon sent a blazing inferno straight at Zorua.

"Dodge, quick!" Luna said, and the Zorua tried to jump out of the way. However, the move still hit her, with a little less force than it should have been. However, the type advantage caused the move to do a pretty large amount of damage anyway. The Zorua was breathing hard afterward.

"Midnight, are you okay to keep going?" Luna asked the pokemon worriedly. The Zorua gave her trainer a determined little bark and a nod. Luna said, "Okay then, use Pursuit- put your all into it, and make sure it hits!" The little Zorua looked far more coordinated than last time as she ran up to the Litwick, readying the attack.

"Litwick, use Ember on the ground!" The Ghost-type scattered embers on the battlefield as Zorua ran up to Litwick. The Fox Pokémon stepped on the flames and flinched before slamming into Litwick.
