Thread: Snowpoint College

More than Seven Hundred years ago one of the very first Pokémon Academies was founded, the Snowpoint College. It was made by a Champion after an epidemic had wiped out half the Pokémon population and many Pokémon Knights (what we now call Trainers) had no Pokémon. He opened the Academy in the middle of the quiet Snowpoint city and it offered free education to the masses. The years went by and gradually fee paying members entered the community up to a point where only a small hard core of "scholars" remained being given free education. A new year has begun and another three hundred students have entered the facility. As they enter the school they are split up into thirty dorms of ten people.

There is a Pokémart down the road where you can buy items and stuff but you're not allowed out of the school campus for the first week anyway.

Right now you've been shown around the school, given your Starter Pokémon and are standing in the Quad, a tarmac area the size of two squash courts designed for playing sport, and are chatting.

So, RP away, welcome to the Academy!


By the way no-one answered my question. Do you want Pokémon to learn moves or to have all the level-up moves available

OOC: I say either is fine. You could also have them already know some, but stronger ones they don' t don't know. I'm curious about egg moves though.

Bailey looked around the quad her new slowpoke by her side. She hoped she could make friends here as well as expand her knowledge of course.

Reece wandered around the quad, with his taillow perched contently upon his shoulder. Ill just wait for someone to speak to me first he thought, he wasnt good at making friends

When you win a battle you progress two levels. When you lose a battle you progress one level. Everyone starts at level five.

IC: Sam walked over to one of the boys. He had a Taillow on his shoulder and looked nervous.

"Hi, I'm Sam," he began. "What's your name

"This is gonna be awesome!" Sunny shouted excitedly in the air. The Blitzle looked up at her, a little confused, "Oh yeah, you'll have to get used to my random outbursts," she smiled.

Bailey jumped at the sound of a girl with a blitzle shouting. Slowpoke simply yawned ignoring the sound.

"Oh hi! What's your name? My name's Sunny and I'm a new student here are you a new student too? I haven't seen many people lately and-" Sunny ranted on with her questions.

"B-Bailey. I'm new as well," she replied not knowing if the other girl heard her with her constant stream of questions.

Jessica took a deep breath and looked around the Quad. Cubchoo sat beside her, sniffling. She really hoped he would be able to keep it together and not embarrass her, but judging by the snot-icicle hanging from his nose, that would be a challenge. Everyone seemed to be talking. She didn't want to come off as too out-going and start randomly talking to people, but she didn't want to look like a loner, so she pretended she was grooming Cubchoo.

Reece looked at the boy,"oh, uh, hey. I'm Reece, this is tails. " he held out his hand and shook sams. "tails, say hi" and taillow chirped happily

Tallow chirped quietly into reeces ear, looked around, then chirped to him again. "by the wall?" he looked around "..but how would I....you know what,let's do it." Reece bid a temporary farewell to Sam, and walked over to a girl sitting on her own. "uhm, hi, I'm Reece.." he looked at the pokemon sitting next to her confused, "who's this little fella?"

Reece took off quickly, so Sam decided to move on. He went over to a group of two girls chatting. One had a Slowpoke and the other a Blitzle. He begn again.
"Hi, I'm Sam, is that a Slowpoke? They're really rare here in Sinnoh. Where do you come from?"

"Mahogany Town in the Johto Region," Bailey replied.

I guess that you're used to the cold climate here then. I'm from Sunnyshore City and it's really hot there," Sam said.

Derek walked up to the college,looking at everything."Well,this is my chance"he thought to himself.Shinx nudged his leg."You ready Tristan?" The Shinx nodded to his trainer.Derek noticed a group of people talking together."Well,I want to have a good year,might as well get some friends."he thought as he walked to the group."Hey,I'm Derek."
