Thread: Saorise Academy (Start-Ups)

Thomas was brought back to reality when he heard someone talking to him. He turned to see who it was, and, had it been anyone other than Kiki, he would have likely lashed out at them.

He smiled and said "Thanks. Don't be so modest though, you matched my score perfectly." As they grew nearer to their next class, Thomas quietly asked "Kiki, at Lunch would you grace me with your company? There's something I'd like to ask you ."

"Sure," Kiki said. "There's the next class." She walked into the room and stopped. "Whoa, I didn't think we would have twin teachers here!"

Thomas was essentially just as surprised as Kiki but managed to hide it slightly more efficiently. He glanced towards the two seemingly identical persons, deciding that the truth about them would probably reveal itself whenever the class started.

He then turned to Kiki and asked "By the way, would you have any objection to me sitting next to you?"

Elodie saw two people, a girl and a boy, enter the classroom. "Already?" She mumbled to herself.

"Hi!" Elodie said cheerfully. "Who are you? I still don't know anyone here!" She giggled.

OOC: It's second period, right?

"None whatsoever" Kiki said she looked at the teachers. "Can we sit?"

Lexie looked up to realize the students had arrived by now, she was distracted by more flashbacks before noticing the students arrived. "Right, yes you may sit as this one will be more of an introduction class" Lexie commented before glancing at Zoroark. "Do you mind?" Lexie asked at the current clone of herself, the clone Lexie gave her a look before shifting back into Zoroark, the Pokemon grunted as it walked away and around the classroom.

"Welcome to the Battling Class, this will be where you learn about battling and even battle yourselves, to prepare you for any journeys you may have in your life" Lexie commented "Although it won't ever be the way you expected" Lexie muttered to herself bitterly, glancing back at her hand.

"I am Lexie Windrunner, and you can call me whatever you like. These are my Pokemon Zoroark, Infernape, Scoliepede, Glalie, Chandelure and Cacturne" Lexie said then introducing her Pokemon. Zoroark was just pouting and circling the students watching them. Infernape stood behind Lexie watching the students as well. Glalie was floating over ahead while at the window, Cacturne leaned against it, his head titled down as his hat seemed to cover up his menacing face. Scolipede was standing closer to the door staring at everyone while Chandelure attached itself to the roof and just gently swayed humming a haunting but beautiful sounding tune.

"Well.. How about you tell me who you are, and exactly what you hope to achieve in life. A Pokemon trainer, coordinator, doctor etc anything" Lexie said turning it to the students now.

"so we don't have twin teachers?" Taylor said disappointed, "I don't really know what I wanna do with my life." She looked at the Chandelure "Is it true about Chandelure's diet?"

Thomas decided he'd be first. As he absentmindedly tossed Gaia's Capsule-adorned Ultra Ball into the air, he introduced himself.

"I'm Thomas Floresca, of Floaroma Town in Sinnoh. I'm what many would call a Freelance Coordinator, and I also pride myself as being a Grass-Type specialist. Aside from some personal goals, I'm still unsure about what I'd like to achieve in life, aside from possibly finding enough interest in contests to actually attend the Grand Festival next time I can."

After a moment he added "As for my pokemon, the ones I brought with me are, in no particular order, a Roserade, a Chatot, a Vulpix, a Gallade, and a Torterra. I felt those five would suit me better whilst at this academy."

After finishing his introduction, he caught Gaia's Ultra Ball before he asked "Is there any chance we could have any battles this period?"

"My name is, uh, Elodie," Elodie said quietly, "I want to study Pokémon, but I want to battle, too. I guess I want to be a Pokémon professor right now, but that's liable to change... I'm not very decisive about that sort of thing, yet." She said apologetically. "And, if I am allowed to say so, Ma'am, your Pokémon are... BEAUTIFUL!" Elodie exclaimed, "They're so tough-looking and pretty and they all look so healthy, with their nice coats and everything! I want my Pokémon to look just like yours, when they get older and tougher." Elodie's face turned red again, "Well, not that they're bad or anything, I just know that they all want to do the best they can and be tough and pretty and amazing!" Elodie grinned, and released her Pokémon. Quilava stretched and released a small plume of smoke from her nostrils, while Haunter momentarily disappeared, reappearing twenty feet away, on the other side of the class. Tortouga, Ariados, and Fearow simply assessed their surroundings silently, staring directly at the teacher. "They're so CUUUUTE!!!" Elodie beamed.

Andie looked around as the students introduced themselves. His eyes shifted back and forth. He didn't want to talk, but if he had to introduce himself, he'll wait until everyone else did first.

Rush stood up next. "I'm Rush Wheeler," he declared, "and I fight Pokemon battles...on motorcycles." He nodded. "I'm gonna be the fastest motor-battler in the world."

He looked around at his classmates. "Anyone else got the need for speed?" He could almost imagine "Danger Zone" playing in the background.

"Motor battles? Interesting" Lexie said looking at Rush mostly, that was a rather curious but dangerous career. "I happen to ride motorcycles myself. I hope you realize the potential dangers of one" Lexie told him before standing up, grabbing a small cane at the end of her desk and limping a little to standing in front of her desk.

"I was in a motorcycle accident last year, and as you can see, I am still sporting the effects of that accident" Lexie replied before looking around the room. "I had to avoid a Deerling that trotted onto the road and I went flying off a cliff and down into a swamp, it's a wonder I survived that and to this day, cannot figure out how. Are you sure you want to actually battle while riding one? Because one mistake and it could be all over" Lexie explained.

"This is rather something I have never heard of, are you just sitting on the bike and battling, or actually riding the thing while battling 60k down a highway?" Lexie questioned wanting to know more of it, if she wasn't so injured she would attempt to find out more about it, and even give it a while. She loved riding her motorcycle and the way she felt riding it, the reminder of riding with her ex girlfriend Katherine screaming in terror, but later finding it happens of fun, she shook that out of her head, she did not want to remember her at this moment. She looked at the student Elodie for a moment "Yes, Chandelure can do that. Thanks" Lexie replied before looking at Rush again.

Rex was a bit surprised that Lexie would ask. "We're riding them, of course. Why else would we be on motorcycles if we're not going at full speed?" He shrugged. "Of course, you need Pokemon that can keep up. Especially if they can fly or levitate, but fast runners work as well."

"Well.. Much of a thrill that is, it sounds like a really stupid idea. Just like stopping by a tavern and having a few beers before getting back on and riding down a empty street going a hundred miles an hour and then swerving to miss a deer, and because of the speed you fly off the cliff" Lexie said sounding a bit harsh, even her Pokemon seemed surprised by the way she had shot down Rush's dream.

"I am sorry, I am not here to crush your dreams, I am just saying that if you do something like that, your life may be shortened and you aren't just placing yourself in danger. Potentially your Pokemon, any bystanders, cars, houses whatever has people and Pokemon around. Say you were battling with a Hydreigon and a Charizard, one used Ice Beam and the other Flamethrower, going that fast probably gives inaccuracy and the distance? Could go a long way in destroying property and hurting others. So my advice is you actually study it before you try it, and make sure you have full protection. I didn't even have a helmet which is why my survival is pretty lucky" Lexie said her cold eyes staring at him, but a slight pinch of concern inside them.

"Back to the subject. A battle between Chandelure and Cacturne, who would win?" Lexie asked now to the rest of the students moving on.

Rush sat down, more than a little miffed at Lexie's rebuke. Not only was he well-experienced with this form of battle, rather than some rookie like she apparently thought, but he knew better than to place innocent bystanders in harm's way. That was what empty bridges, open wildernesses, and specially-designed stadiums were for. He could hear her next question about which Pokemon would win a battle, but he decided he'd better cool down before answering.
