Thread: Raven Claw Academy Year I Start Up

"According to my senses, we are indeed looking at Maria." Calvin replied, walking up to her. "Where is Piper? Have you sustained damage?"

Alma's alarms were going at full blare, she looking around the room like a paranoid person.

'Too easy. Too easy. Someone must be left in here.' She thought to herself, looking around as her Synchro energy started to creep.

"Maria." Adam raised an eyebrow and began walking forward. However as he tried to get closer to Maria he felt something stop him in his tracks. "What?" he asked before slowly seeing Maria turn around her eyes seeming completely lifeless.

"What the-?" Calvin jumped back, looking back and forth from Maria to the odd sphere. "Guys, maybe that thing has something to do with it." He shouted, charging and firing an Aura Sphere at it.

The attack vanished almost as soon as it was fired though, it becoming into nothing. "Well that worked nicely."

"Wha-huh?" Calvin looked at his hands, dumbfounded, then scowled and returned to normal. "Alright then, energy-based projectiles don't work, huh? Let's try a direct approach!" He pulled out his knife and charged at with a vertical slashing motion.

When he slashed down he was suddenly smacked aside and pushed against a wall. "That didn't help either." Adam said, he staring at the sphere attentively to try and see what was going on. "A psychic barrier, a very strong one at that."

"Oww. How did I not see that coming?" Calvin groaned, getting up. "Can you tell what it's powered by? Is it electricity or some other source?"

Alma leaped up to the barrier, throwing out Honoo. "Explosion Kick!" She yelled, throwing a drop kick while he used a Blaze Kick, and channeled Synchro energy to her feet, powering up the Blaze Kick as a result.

"Didn't I just say it was psychic energy." Adam frowned before seeing Hoono being thrown aside by the barrier the same way Calvin had been before. "Alma I don't think charging blindlessly can do much either."

"Sorry, one tends not to hear much when they're getting tossed across rthe room like a rag doll." Calvin snapped. "Logically speaking, dark energy should be able to break through. Honchkrow, may you do the honors?"

"On it!" Honchkrow squawked, firing a Dark Pulse at the sphere.

"Calvin do you really think that a psychic field such as this can be broken by something so simple?" Adamr aised an eyebrow as he saw the attack vanish. "I think not, this psychic field is at least at legendary level of strenght."

"Well, let's see you come up with-" Calvin paused, then nodded to himself. "The psychic energy must come from somewhere. We need to find what's generating the barrier and disable it."

"You see I don't think that's a normal sphere." Adam pointed out. "What if there's something in there?"

"In other words, you think that the sphere is self-generating the energy field?" Calvin asked. "Or that it's a sentient being?"
