"I'm actually loving this match up." Elliot smirked confidently and then turned to look at Vance, his hands going into his pockets. He actually felt anxious, to finally reach such a point after all those years of travelling and training.

"Now, you should all enjoy the evening or get to know each other, once the ceremony is over you will be taken to the place you'll be living." John explained and smiled.

Elliot walked over to Vance and stretched out his hand. "Nice to meet you."

"Again, this should be interesting" Drake said before scanning the other people on the stage with him, his potential first opponent, he wondered which one and how they would fare against him. They were all that stood between him and finally winning a League, and becoming a champion. Then he would continue to earning the rightful title during the Kanto and Unova Leagues that he had battled for so many years ago. And perhaps one day rise to the Pokemon Champion, that he admit he had a crush on, Cynthia the Sinnoh Champion. He swore he would battle with when he started his next journey in the Sinnoh League.

Whether he lost now or not didn't matter, he would still try to win one Pokemon League, and be crowned a Pokemon Champion. Servine seemed to know what he was thinking and jumped on the ground, looking around as daring anyone to defeat him.

"Vine" Servine said staring at some of the other Pokemon that were out.

Nate knew the guy named Vance, but he hadn't heard of the other trainer. It didn't really matter though, all he was interested in was getting a better look at the different battle styles and strategies.

Yui waved hi to Servine while Mike thought. It will probably be best to learn about the others pokemon and strategies.

"Hello." Mike greeted Drake.

Servine faced Yui with a grin. "Ser, Servine" Servine said as to say I will beat you, if we come against each other. He grinned again at the Wigglytuff.

"How do you do?" Drake greeted Mike, getting to know the potential opponents could be crucial, a difference between battling blind and battling smart. "I am Drake Gryphon" Drake introduced himself, although chances of Mike already knowing him was sort of high. He already had a female fanbase, and with some guys of both sexuality, although the straight female and gay males were his biggest fans and wanted him to win, and Drake would do them proud.

Vance smiled as he shook Elliot's hand. "Pleasure's all mine." He said cordially. "Let's give the fans a good show next week."

"Yeah agreed." Elliot nodded his head and smiled. "I won't hold back." he said as he retreated his hand. "I've heard a lot about you too."

Luna walked over to Josh as she looked around. She seemed to have a slight frown on her face. Her best Pokemon friend wasn't around.

"Where's Fluffy?" she asked.

"I'm not sure if you ever heard of me, but i'm Michael Clover. But people usually call me by my stage name, MiKE." Mike replied.

"Tuff, tuff, wiggly, tuff. (Its nice to meet you friend.)" Yui greeted, not really caring that this was a competition or that Servine openly threatened her.

Josh raised his eyebrows, then gestured around the room. “You do realise where we are, right?” he asked incredulously. “You can’t seriously want Fluffy here. He’ll eat all the food, purposefully poop on a table, and then go to sleep!”

"Fluffy loves me though," Luna pouted as she gave Josh puppy eyes, "I miss my Fluffles!"

"So now what should I do?" Elliot asked. He could go back and find Sally again but he also wanted to get to know the others better. He then turned to look at Mike and Drake. "You're a musician?"

"There's a chance I have heard of you, might have to look it up though" Drake replied, he had gotten to know many trainers over time so it was hard to remember some of them. "Perhaps we will face in the tournament hey, may the odds ever be in your favor" Drake added with another smile, the same that made 90% of his fanbase smitten over him.

"Servine, Ser, Servine" Servine replied (We may be friends now, but if we battle, I won't go easy).

Elliot looked at Drake for a second. He was actually feeling kind of bad, he had never actually taken priority in public appearances or fanbases usually just moving around once he cleared a new challenge. "So who are you?" he asked.

Josh felt the Pokeball on his belt vibrating and sighed. “Have it your way, then.” he said, and threw the Pokeball a good thirty feet away.

It exploded with light in mid-air, emitting a huge, serpentine figure. The light diminished as a fearsome roar echoed around the room, the final few sparkles flashing against the pale blue of Fluffy’s scale.

Fluffy the Gyrados headbutted Luna with no less force than an earthquake.
