Thread: Pro League

Vance was stunned. That was a beat down if he had ever seen one. He certainly wasn't expecting that kind of a result in a league with this kind of competition. He made a mental note that Josh would be a major threat. He quickly finished his beer and looked around. He was clearly not the only one shocked by what he had just seen.

"You don't judge a book by its cover... That's For Sure..." Mike thought aloud.

I have to be really careful if I go up against Josh, Fluffy could desimate my team. But it would be interesting to see how he would do against Marina. Anyway, If i go up against Josh, I will have to give it my all and then some. Mike thought to himself while Yui started to cheer for Fluffy whom she thought was Cute...

"It was a tough match, especially since he wasn't in the est of mental states." Elliot stated simply as he noticed the announcer declaring Josh as the winner. "I wonder who the next ones will be."

"I knew this would be bad," Kayla sighed, followed by a facepalm.

"I think she needs you right now." Vance said to Kayla. "Poor girl is a mess." He muttered sadly.

Kayla looked at Vance and smiled softly.

"No, this is between her and Josh," she replied, "Though you have to admit, that beatdown was brutal."


Many reporters made their way onto the battlefield and began questioning Josh about his victory against Luna.

"How do you feel about winning this match?" one of them asked.

"I hope she'll be okay though." Elliot nodded his head as he stated at the battlefield.

“Yeah, it’s great and stuff.” Josh said quickly, waving a hand as if it were unimportant. He called Fluffy back to his Pokeball- earning him a sad wail from the leviathan- and dragged Luna over to him, so that they were both standing in front of the camera. He draped an arm protectively around her shoulders and drew her close to him.

“I want you to make sure this is on the front page of every tabloid by tomorrow.” he told them. The faces he could see nodded eagerly. “I have a message for all of my fans. I will not tolerate any harm coming to Luna.” His eyes were dark as he said this, with no trace of humour. “No assaults, no threatening her family, no trespassing upon her premises- which, from this moment, will be guarded by my mother’s personal protection force.

“If Luna receives a single threatening letters, a concert will be cancelled.” The gasps of the reporters were extremely satisfying. “If someone damages her property, there will be no performances for a year.” Another gasp. He was silent for a few moments, letting the tension build, and then continued with his final threat. “And, if Luna is hurt, in any way, then I will quit the tournament.”

The looks on the reporter’s faces were priceless. They only got worse when Joe appeared and helpfully added. “The same for me. I stand with my brother on this.” Josh shot him a thankful glance behind his shoulder, and his brother winked back at him, grinning.

Elliot grinned as he saw Josh speaking to the reporter feeling some nostalgia overtake him as e go up. "See." he turned to Kayla. "Everything turned out fine."

Kayla couldn't help but to smile at what Joe and Josh had just done. She looked at Elliot with an undeniably happy look on face.

"I think I know that now," she said with a happy tone.

Luna looked up at Josh, tears streaming down her face.

"I love you, Josh..." she whispered before pulling him in for a kiss.

"And this is when I thank the stars that my fanbase isn't made up of the crazy ones." Vance mused out loud, clearly amused by what had just happened. "It's always the crazy ones..." He chuckled. "I suppose that's what happens when you have tween girls who have nothing but a fantasy as your fanbase."

"Well now this feels like a romanti comedy." Elliot said as he looked at Josh an Luna.

"Indeed it does," Kayla answered, "But without the comedy."

"Boring" was all that was in Nate's mind. Were Josh's Pokemon really that good? Probably not. All he had to do was beat a whiney girl, which didn't seem hard at all. He sat silently in the stands with the others, arms folded across his chest and a lackadaisical expression on his face.

"Your more smug then a spoiled rotton Snivy..." Mike jeered at Nate after seeing his arrogant body language, annoyed with his judgmental attitude.
