"Maybe we could give battling as a team a shot, but we first have to get to know each other," AC said.

"Yeah.. maybe we should wait a while then?"

"Works for me," AC said.

The two walked out of the pokecentre, and towards the forest. Jake and Melissa had stayed behind apparently. "So, how did you end up with your starter?" Reece asked A.C.

"No way that you use my Pokemon, coordinator here" Melissa added as she walked out of the Pokemon Center.

Melissa pulled out a mirror and started to look at herself. "Ahh looks and vanity where would I be without you" she said to herself but anyway the next part of the journey was to Viridian Forest where she could make her Pokemon useful especially how dark it is then again it could be quite the opposite.

The two had decided to wait at the entrance to the woods, [i]come on... come on...]/i] he thought impatiently.

Jake ran to the entrance of the forest, taking longer to eat his breakfast than he had expected. "Everyone ready to go? I hear it's dark in the forest. It would be good if we had some source of light."

"Hmm, we should be fine for a little while, we will get a bit of light through the trees... but if we dont get out before the sun goes down, then we're in trouble... Rex here has a bit of light and warmth, but nothing compared to that of an electric.." to which Rex spun around and glared at Reece, "Hey dont look at me like that! Im not saying theyre better!" he argued as they walked into the forest

"You know that's why we pack torches" Melissa sighed "See I may not be smart but hello it is really obvious" She was ready for the forest, to her a bunch of trees really. "Well I have only two torches, one for emergencies if anything else goes wrong but we should be good, I mean it is a forest full of Caterpies, Weedles and Pidgeys, how bad can it be anyway" she flicked her hair "Hmmmmm although Gastly could be used as an advantage in the case of foresight I suppose but torches are the way to go well for me, you have your Charmander" she looked at Reece.

"it might not just be those, you never know what could be lurking in here.. I once heard a story when I was little about a swarm of Beedrill that chased a group out.. it gave me nightmares for weeks."

"I've got my Pidgey and Natu to protect us and warn us beforehand of any incoming threats. Besides, I don't think it's going to get that dark. I'm pretty sure light can come through the canopies. Even if it doesn't, We have Rex's flame, Melissa has some flashlights and I, too, have a flashlight," AC said, "So, what are we waiting for? Let's go."

"Ladies first" Melissa walked into the forest.

The forest was dark, with a hints of sunlight cutting through the canopies. There was a sense of moisture around with the scent of wet leaves and trees. It was not a rainforest but nor was it dry. "Hmmm" Melissa muttered to herself as the lovely blonde teenager started to walk. It did seem safe enough and even though there were chances of Beedrills, Melissa was not scared at all.

"Alright it seems fine" she lead the way with conviction and without fear. She could not see any Pokemon yet although she knew that she had to be very wary about what was there.

"As you say, chief" He mocked, bringing up the rear. he was messing about with Rex, tripping him over and pushing him into the grass

AC spent a moment just looking at Melissa. She seemed so sure of herself. AC smirked and went in with his Natu and Pidgey flying in the air. "It doesn't seem so bad," AC commented.

Jake followed the others. "I guess you're right." he admitted. There was the constant chirp of bug Pokemon ringing in his ears. "Beedrills? Wouldn't wanna be caught in the middle in a swarm of those. Or any other bug-type for that matter."
