Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
Suddenly, a Caterpie squirmed its way out of the grass. Jake let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, it's just a Caterpie. I thought it going to be something more... intimidating? I don't think it will hurt us." Dylan seemed to be glad of this too. "But, we should definitely battle it." Jake added. "C'mon, use Water Gun!" The Oshawott jumped to the floor and released a strong blast of water at the Caterpie, who stumbled backwards in the dirt. "Now, Razor Shell!" Dylan grabbed hold of the scalchop on his torso and ran towards the bug-type. Caterpie snapped into action and retaliated with String Shot, binding Dylan's arms and legs to his body and causing him to fall over.

"Well, maybe we should really check up on him," AC said, "Leaving a man behind isn't really teamwork. Though I really do believe he'll be fine." The forest was nowhere near as frightening for anything bad to happen to Jake, AC thought.
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
"Well, first you have to get out of the forest," AC said, "I'll walk with you until we get out, but I'll wait for him at the entrance."
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
"Hey I do so much work on my hair, you don't know how hard it is to be beautiful" Melissa mused as she clutched her hair while she was walking towards the end of the forest. "I'm just going to wait at the Pokemon Center while I fix my hair up" she sighed "And I smell like a tree"
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
Dylan struggled on the ground, trying to break free of the sticky thread impeding him from further attack. "Cut free with Razor Shell!" Jake called out. He hacked away at the String Shot and, within moments, was able to slash it apart. "Great! Now use Tackle!"
Dylan dashed forward and drove his body into Caterpie, who was knocked back hard into a tree by the impact. "Nice job," Jake complimented the Sea Otter Pokemon on his battling skills, "Go, PokeBall!"
Caterpie was engulfed by red light and disappeared inside of the classic red-and-white ball. It shook once, twice, and clicked. Dylan picked it up and returned it to Jake. "We've got a new partner!" Jake said. "It could use a nickname, though."
He pondered this thought as he continued on the path.
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
"Hey," AC said, "The smell of nature is great-most of the time. Anyways, suit yourself guys. I'm going to wait for Jake just in case he doesn't come out. It'll also give me some time to think about my upcoming battle."
The group had now approached the end of the forest.

OOC: Sorry for lack of proper grammar, I'm posting this from my world language class.
The forest began to get less dense as Jake neared the exit. Clutching the PokeBall containing his newly caught Caterpie which he had decided to name Louis, after figuring that it was most likely a male, he spotted AC up ahead. "There was no need to wait for me." Jake told him. "I was just exploring a bit. Pewter City's just up ahead."
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
"Well," AC said, "You could never be too sure. What if there was a Beedrill swarm attacking you? Anyways, let's get going then." AC made his way towards the city. His eyes were on his Natu and Pidgey and his mind was on his battle with Brock.
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
AC had set his mind on a tactic. He was fairly certain that he would go through with this tactic. He decided to go straightly to his room in the Pokecenter. He turned to Jake and said, "Jake, I've got some urgent matter of business I have to attend to. Although this slow walk is nice, I think that I really have to get to my room and work on my battle. See you!" AC then motioned his Pokemon to follow him to the Pokecenter.
Soon, he found himself at the Pokecenter. He walked up to Nurse Joy and said, "I don't know if any of my friends came in here, but I want to check in."
"Did your friend have a Charmander?" the Nurse asked.
"As a matter of fact, he did," AC replied.
"And are you travelling as a group of four?" the Nurse asked smiling.
AC nodded and the nurse gave him a key to his room. AC rushed up to his room with his two Pokemon close behind. He shut the door and began talking to his Pokemon about the match.
Re: Pokemon World: The Kanto Saga
Apparently AC had already discussed how he'd use his Pokemon and was now discussing the psychological aspect of the battles. He'd get better and better at this, but he was already aware that the psychology was already important when it came to battling. His two Pokemon were on the floor looking up to AC who was on the chair.
"Guys, when battling, the most important thing is the strength of our mind. As long as we have a sharp mind, we will be one step ahead of the opponent. To have a sharp mind, you must be able concentrate on the battle and just free your mind from all other thoughts, as if you are in a trance. You have to fight smart. Observe your surroundings and your opponent's movements. You will have the upper-hand if you use your environment. The last important aspect of battling is your faith. You are the master of your own fate and the captain of your own soul. As long as you believe in yourself, you will emerge victorious. Remember, strength is not in the muscles but in the spirit. Have faith and overcome everything."
AC was not pleased with his speech, but he thought that it was a good start. He could see the motivation in both Pidgey and Natu's eyes. They were ready.
"We will do a short session of meditation before heading over to the gym," AC said, "Let's clear our minds except for thoughts of our battle."
With that the three entered a deep state of meditation.
