Thread: Pokemon Star Squad: Start Up

Flame's Lab, Dark Wing HQ.

"Alright, I'm not going on the mission. I left the Snagrays on board Drake's ship anyways. Now to build something for Empira. Pesky little fellow, he should like my inventions, not hate them." Flame says opening up a digital Blueprint. "This type of technology would make a physical Scanner useless." He mumbles. "Imagine a circle on the edge of your hands, using PokéScanner technology, the beams shot out of it would be the same. That is if the boss approves it," Flame continues

Then he goes silent, "If not I could give it to the Star Squad for a hefty price. Or put it on the black market. No matter, I will see Burglor now." Flame says in his thoughts leaving his lab and going to Burglor's office.

OOC: Well, its been about two days so I'll just arrive already.

Devon pulled up to the island and retuned Walrein and let out Ditto. "Ditto, use Transform to make yourself a Swallot."said Devon pointing to a trainer who had a Swalot.

Ditto remade it's DNA so it was now a Swalot.

"Ditto, use Swallow on that man and if he starts to make up use Yawn to put him back to bed." commanded Devon. He was not about to let this man get away without a good interrogation. He walked into town with Ditto at his side. He then found the others but he especially needed to talk to Jarret. He went up to him and said "I may have failed but I always succeed somehow." He then had Ditto open his mouth to show the sleeping Grunt and he then took out the Grunt's scanner. "Can you detain this man for me Jarret, I want to interrogate him back at HQ and I also have this man's scanner which I had Porygon unlock so we have it's full use."

JArret nodded, locking handcuffs on him. "We've found a way to make Pokemon unstealible." he said. "This special glass." he said, showing it. He took moved the pane. "On this side, it looks like a mirror." he explained. "But on this side." he said, flipping it over to show a transparant side. "Its a window. It blocks rays from going through it on the side with the window, on the mirrored side, it lets it through." he explained. "If the windowed side is out, it deflects the beam from the scanner and shorts it out, flip it over, and you can return your Pokemon." he explained. "We're making necklaces based on that principle, the beam doesn't have to hit it, cause it creats a short in it as it wraps around the Pokemon, shorting it out."

"Thats a good use of those things, who knew they'd be good for something other then windows." said Devon. He then took out his scanner and released Porygon. "Ditto use Transform to become a Porygon."

Ditto then changed from a Swalot to a Porygon, also copying Porygon's ability.

"My Porygon has a special ability that allows it to corrupt or edit data and technology. So now I have two pokemon that can't be stolen or snagged which gives us a huge advantage over Dark Wing because if we can get one of their Snag Ray's we can have Porygon look at the Master Scanner and have Ditto look at the Snag Ray so that we can build things that allow us to counter them." said Devon patting both Porygon on the head.

Fuchsia City Pokemon Preserve

“Hey, Doc, can you maybe help me out a bit? We need two more pieces of glass…perhaps a controlled shadow claw could be more effective at cutting it?” She queried while bent down next to the ghost pokemon. The small purple pokemon looked up to her and gave a thumbs up, indicating that he understood the task. Violet took some glass and put it on the ground in order for him to reach. His claws illuminated in a dark black with a hint of purple sheen. He carefully placed his hand on the glass and twisted it in a circular motion, creating a perfectly rounded shard. The glass hissed as the shadows seeped into it.

“Saayble!” He cried in accomplishment. Violet bent over to pick up the perfectly shaped glass and gave him a pat on the head.

“Good job, just one more buddy.” She said smiling. As Doc began on the next piece she took the time to thread a wire around the glass and call out Aster. The starmie came out of her ball silently and tilted up toward her trainer. “Hello dear, I need to put this on you okay?” the starmie remained silent. Violet frowned at the lack of communication, then again Aster had always been that way. Since starmie’s have no neck, Violet decided to tie the wire around her top most point, creating a headband of sorts. When it was secure she pulled a cloth out of her bag and cleaned the starfish-like creature’s gemstone. It blinked red twice and then returned to the stagnant pokemon it was before. Violet sighed once more and then decided to smile again. "No use in being depressed. You've got to look at the positive side. At least she blinked for me."

"Jarret, would you mind giving me a brief update on whats going on here?" asked Devon hoping he would be able to avenge his defeat back on the boat.

Pokemon Preserve:

After Twist was done cleaning her Magnezone, she rubbed its front end and gave it a playful kiss. The Magnezone hopped up and down in a playful, child-like manner to show it's happiness.

"There you go, Maggy, all better!" said Twist. While she never gave her Magnezone a nickname, she'd sometimes call him "Maggy" as a form of endearment. She then noticed that Devon has returned from his mission, and rushed towards him to greet him.

"Hey Devon! Did the Eevee return safetly?" she asked, not knowing that he has failed on his mission.

Meanwhile, Twist's Staraptor was growing frustrated. "A kiss!? She never kissed me on the head even once!" he then turned to Wildfire, and in an attempt to prove himself right, he turned his head away snobbishly. "I mean... Of course I don't get those because I am too strong for something so cutesy, she prefers to leave me alone." he lied, in what would have come out as syllables of his species name to human beings.

Dark Wing HQ, Training Arena:

The energy ball hit Alakazam forcefully, knocking him back against the walls of the arena. It seems as if the attack would have knocked him out, however, the Alakazam used its telekinetic powers to blow away the dust that was created from the impact.

"Nice shot..." The Alakazam said telepathically to the Venasaur. He then crossed his two spoons and used Recover to heal himself a little bit.

"Yeah, right." said Wildfire. "You've got a bad poker face." he said. "Why don't you just do as she says? If you behave as well in battle as out of it, then its no suprise you lose all the time."

Jarret finished giving his Pokemon the necklaces. "Alright, we'll need to plan." he explained. "We've got traps set, but we need to set a big one inside the perserve."

The grunt growled, trying to think of a way to look convincing without knocking out Alakazam on accident. Something occured to him. "Solar Beam!" he ordered.

Venusaur nodded, beginning to charge, which would take awhile, leaving him completely open. Plus, Alakazam was a smart Pokemon anyway. If it came to it, he'd barely miss if Alakazam could attack in time.

Flame left the lab and to Burglor's office door, he knocked.

He looked to Twist and said "I was overpowered 13 to 1, I knocked out 8 of them and took one as a hostage but I couldn't get to the Eevee in time. I also took one of their Master Scanners so we could build a way to counter them. I hope to be a better help here then I was there" He looked to Jarret and said "We should have eyes in the sky, on land, underwater, and underground so that they have no way of taking us from behind."

Fuchsia City Pokemon Preserve

As Paige finished putting on the necklaces, she overheard that Devon couldn't get the Eevee. She walked over to Devon to greet him. "Hi Devon. It's too bad you didn't get the Eevee, but that's ok. The main thing we want to protect is this preserve!" Paige smiled at him. "I'm sure we can get the Eevee back once we discover where Dark Wing's hideout is." She pointed out.

Underwater Dark Wing Submarine

Drake hopped into a Submarine with six grunts behind him. The other six had gone with L'wren. Drake closed the entrance, and set the coordinates of his destination. He pressed one final button, and the submarine began to move towards Fuchsia city automatically. Perfect! I can't wait to get my hands on those rare and exotic pokemon! Drake thought, thinking about what kinds of pokemon there will be there.

He looked to Paige and said "thanks, I'll be more successful here ." He turned to Jarret and asked "what pokemon do they have here anyway?"

((OOC: Flamealex, Burglor's at the Training Arena watching the fight between Alakazam and a grunt's Venosaur. At this point you could probably just say that you missed an "off to Training Arena" sign on his door or something.))

Pokemon Preserve:

Twist's Staraptor gave Wildfire a low-pitched growl and refused to say anything more. While he knew that he was right in the fact that he needs to change his attitude, he was too proud to admit it. Twist's Magnezone then floated gently by the two pokemon.

"BZT. TWIST IS A STRONG MASTER. BZZZT." said the Magnezone to Staraptor, in a more robotic form of Pokemon speak. "TWIST IS REALLY NICE. BZZZT." Staraptor then shouted back at it, "Did anyone say you could butt-in!?"

In the meantime, after hearing Devon's story, Twist became concerned about Devon's condition.
"Shoot, you weren't hurt too much from that mess, right, and your Pokemon are okay?" she asked him. "... But yeah, you are right, we need to make sure we have this area covered." She then turned to Jarret. "By the way, Jarret, what's this 'secret weapon' you are talking about?"

Dark Wing HQ, Training Arena:

Alakazam sharply focused his telekinetic power, boosting it to the max. With a cross of his spoons, he then launched another Psychic attack at the Venosaur for the finish.

"Simple, we know what they want, we know where it is, so we lay in wait there and spring the trap." said Jarret. "Our secret weapon is our Pokemon can't be stolen and they don't know that. Plus that any attempt to steal them will result in their scanner shorting out.

"She's nice too, isn't she, Magnazone?" asked Wildfire, getting a kick out of rubbing it into Staraptor.

Venusaur fired off Solar Beam...right as it was hit with Psychic, making it miss completely. Venusaur was blasted against the wall hard, knocking him out.

Empira stood up. "Congradualations, Alakazam! You've earned your freedom!" he said. He then faked the transmission of a ransom note to Twist, it didn't reach her but appeared to, and then, with some clever hacking, altered the date on the ransom sent to the present after a reasonible pause. "Ransom recieved," he said, transfering it to the treasury. He sucked Alakazam into his scanner and transmitted him to Twist via internet. "Ok, whose next?" he asked as the next Grunt and his Pokemon opponent took the stage.

Burglor's office.

Flame looked around, "Great, no one here. I'll wait.He could at least put up a sign."
