Rachel grinned. "I revel in my uniqueness," she quipped, her grin shifting into a smirk, eyes sparkling with mirth. "it's a pleasure to meet you, Cole." She listened attentively to his next comment, snorting before dramatically swooning backwards into her seat, chuckling as though he had told a particularly funny joke.
"Ravenclaw, eh? A man after my own heart." She flicked her hair in a melodramatic impression of what she imagined the typical snooty Ravenclaw looked like, nose upturned as she sneered, before the entire facade dissolved and she merely grinned cheerfully.
"I'm hoping for the blue and bronze myself, but I think my parents would rather I were a Gryffie." Taint began to investigate her hair as she spoke, cawing in irritation when the hand signals enunciating her every word seemed particularly dangerous towards his person.

Semper glanced at Savannah, lips quirking into something more akin to an actual smile than the smirks that normally permeated his expression. "It will probably take a while - it'll be an experiment more than anything else, I believe." Nonetheless he began to set to work on the door, mumbling various Latin phrases under his breath as he worked, obviously spells.
It took him about fifteen minutes of non-stop fiddling for the spell to work, and even then he didn't think it was particularly secure, but it was good enough, he felt. He stuck his head up from where he'd been working on the floor, his expression dishevelled but triumphant, hair ruffled slightly.
Giving Ross an affectionate pat on the head Semper settled back into his seat, letting out a whoosh of air as he reclined, spread-eagled and apparently exhausted.
"Sorry for the wait."
