Thread: Nebula Academy: Search for the Chosen Ones (Start Up)

"She was upside down," Jared deadpanned as he saw Elise kick the blanket aside and standing up.

"This is high comedy." Dirk muttered as he watched the blanket scene play out.

"You know, we could probably help." Daphne pointed out.

"We could." Dirk fired off an orb of shadow energy over his shoulder at Elise followed by a quick beam of ice. "See, now I've used three attacks."

Elise stooed up and zoomed past the strikes. Jared noticed that she was beginning to get serious and as thus stepped in front of the group, causing he rto stop her strike ind mid stance after she realized it was too powerful for him to take. Jared threw his fist forward, only for Elise to dodge it and spin around him.

"She's quick." Dirk commented.

"She flinched. She won't hit him." Daphne said quietly.

OOC: Flaze, you edited your post. I'm pretty sure it said she fell backwards originally.

Enrique simply summoned a deck of cards and began playing solitaire on the floor.

OOC: No, it originally said she threw herself to the floor, I didn't specify because I thought it'll be obvious that for someone who's trying to avoid her chest being hit it'll be stupid to fall backwards.

Jared turned around to face Elise, giving the others a signal to attack her.

OOC: Then why edit it? Whatever.

Enrique threw one of the cards at her.
"Ms. Elise, I thought that one of the points of this exercise was to make us able to get by on our own?" Enrique said.

"Hey everybody, get back!" Camille shouted, forming a ball of energy in her hands. She threw it at Elise's feet, and it exploded outward into a sphere in which time was slowed to a crawl.

Elise was about to swipe at the card but due to the effects of the sphere she began to move slowly and painfully, causing her steps and movements to slow down drastically.

"All right, this is our shot," Ellery announced.

"Don't act as if you've been fighting all this time!" Jared yelled in annoyance.

"I suppose I may as well use these now." Enrique said. The sparkles around him whirled into the shape of a hand, and poked Elise in the chest.

"Who said I was?" Camille asked indignantly. "You should be grateful I was able to make myself useful!"

OOC: Jared was yelling at Ellery because of what he said xD

"I was just waiting for hte right time you see," Ellery nodded his head.

Elise wasn't able to avoid it and was hit by the sphere causing the spot to glow.

"Good work minion," he said while giving Enrique a thumbs up. "You are indeed the best."

((She couldn't tell because no names were mentioned.))

"So does that mean we're done?" Calvin and Camille asked.

"And you were worried about not being useful." Enrique said to Camille. He got up and stretched. He had spent the entirety of the battle sitting on the ground. All the objects he had summoned disappeared in flashes of blue light.

Dirk just laughed. "Who chose right now?" He teased Daphne because the partner he had chosen ended up winning the challenge for them.

"Ha. Ha. Ha." Daphne said sarcastically.

"I still wish we got to fight for real." Dirk pouted.

"Because of him?" She motioned with her eyes towards Ellery.

"Only reason." Dirk laughed. "What I wouldn't give to kick his ass."
