Thread: Nebula Academy: Search for the Chosen Ones (Start Up)

Ellery smirked while looking at Dirk. Jared didn't do anything, instead staring at him as he walked past Zephyr and Dante. "Fine then." he stated simply while flexing his fists. "We'll fight...but not yet." he nodded his head and stepped back. "I want an audience and I don't want it to be big." he nodded his head and smiled as he looked at Dirk. "I'll settle this with you another day, hopefully a day where my sister isn't on the verge of eating someone alive."

Carey looked at DJ for a moment while crossing her arms. "Hey DJ? What's Dirk?"

"Coward." Dirk muttered before dropping into the shadows, vanishing without a trace.

"I suppose I do owe the kid that much." DJ said after a moment, looking Carey in the eyes now. "You remember Rise." He stated, rather than asked. "Two of the kids that got involved in that game of his... Dirk and Daphne's parents." He paused for a moment, allowing this to sink in. "So the two of them were in the womb while his father and mother were powered by that dark magic of Rise's..." He looked out at the water now. "His father died in the fighting at the academy... his mother died giving birth to the two of them. The magic from her children was too much for her." He said sadly, knowing that this had doomed Dirk and Daphne to their childhood. "So it's very likely that you killed both Dirk and Zephyr's fathers." He said to Carey after a moment. "Don't worry, I wouldn't tell him that..." He said quietly, knowing how much affection Dirk had for Carey. "What interests me is that apparently the more Dirk fights, the more powerful he gets. That's why he's so much more powerful than his sister." He said. "Which is also why he relies on weapons... it took years of fighting for his abilities with the elements to level up to synch up with his innate speed and strength." He looked at Shinn. "He'd like it if you told him this." He said, holding out an envelope to his cousin. "And give him this." He said softly. "It's a bit of a bonus for him... he'll understand."

"Great, now I'm starving." Zephyr said as she calmed down, getting the trees of ice that were growing on her to fall off. Dante chuckled as he heard his sister said that.

Lexie had went away to cool off after she and Nuata got into a deadheat argument, now sitting behind her desk in the main Assassin's Guild somewhere in Spain. She was currently chewing on a pencil as she looked at the news her agents had left her to read, concerning DJ.

As for Nuata, she went to work as the "storm bringer of Hawaii" to vent off her stress.

Shinn grabbed the envelope and stared at it for a moment. Carey just looked down at the sand as she reflected on what DJ had told her, an expression of disbelief was plastered on her face while she kicked the sand softly and sighed. "Guess I had that coming."

"Well I guess that kind of explain things." Shinn nodded his head while ruffling the back of it. "I guess that means that in a way he was born with that talent, well the potential for that talent. I kind of feel bad for the others though."

"Why do you feel bad?" DJ asked Shinn. The one person he could understand feeling bad for was Carey herself. A part of him regretted telling her what he had, but he also knew she would have been incredibly angry later if she found out he had hid the truth from her.

"I feel bad for the others, mainly Ellery." Shinn nodded his head while looking at DJ. "Believe it or not one of the things he wishes for the most is to be able to be recognized by Dirk." he said and looked at the envelope. "But if he's that strong then I don't think that's possible."

"I still have no clue what is going on, let that be a lesson for being out of the loop" Kathany whispered to Amber who only gave a small half amused smile.

"Just let Ellery do the talking, we don't want to stir anything right now" Amber suggested, obviously she knew one wrong thing could set Dirk off, so it's why she chose to say nothing.

"So, what happens next exactly?" Cooper questioned.

The academy was once more bustling with life, students had gathered around in the academy for the academy's End of the Year Festival. The whole academy had been decorated with multiple attractions, food stands and decorations to celebrate the end of the year.

"Well I guess they might as well make the end of the year a celebration." Jared pointed out as he walked around the festival along with Alice, Mea and Kuroki.

"Yeah. For one, the academy's still standing." Kuroki said.

Jared nodded his head before chukcling a bit. "I guess you're right, and it is good to know that things came out okay without anyone getting hurt."

"True," Alice chimed in as she held Marina and Charlie.

"Plus it's nice for them to have a festival of their own." Jared grinned as he walked back to the babies.

"Everything looks so pretty." needless to say Alanah was static about the festival taking place, never having been to one she was busy staring at everything around her.

"She seems eager." Alistair chuckled.

"Well, I highly doubt they're paying attention," Alice chuckled as she looked at her sleeping babies.

"Of course," Rose replied softly, "It is a lovely festival.

"Well they do sleep a lot." Jared nodded his head. "Though you know I'm glad that the kids are all right."

"Yeah I guess you're right." Alistair nodded her head. He then turned to Rose. "I still can't believe Alanah's an alien though."

"They are," Alice smiled, "Though I think they both are very fond of you."
