"Honestly I wonder what´s worse." Ellery pointed out while crossing his arms. "Being the one that receives the injury or being the one that has to treat it."

Rose and Alistair had left the kids at Van´s and Emily´s house before heading to the restaurant where the dinner was supposed to take place. Once they got there they saw the other teachers were there as well, including Noah, Amber, Kathany and Naomi. Shinn was sitting on the other side of the large table and next to him was a woman with auburn coloured hair and green eyes, she was wearing a purple colored dress that hugged her figure. "So nice you could make it." Shinn smiled.

"Dude!" Dirk said loudly. "It's clearly worse to receive the injury." He pointed out. "Bullet wounds hurt like a bitch." He muttered.

"Yeah but, if you go to the hospital then it falls on the doctors and nurses hands." Ellery pointed out with a nod. "Or if someone else treats you, if they fail then it´ll be their fault."

"Glad we could make it as well," Rose replied softly.

"Sure," Alice chuckled.

"Am I interrupting something?" The nurse asked, looking at Ellery and Dirk.

"Don't worry about it." Zephyr said, getting the nurse to pull the machine into position.

"So, you're here to check up on the kids, is that right?" The nurse said, taking out some gel.

"Yeah. I want to make sure I'm having one kid." Zephyr said, holding her distended gut.

"Oh I'm sorry, I haven't introduced you." Shinn stood up along with the woman. "This is my girlfriend Maisy." he stated.

"It's really nice to meet you both." Maisy smiled at them before bowing.

"I'm also hungry." Mea chuckled.

"Yeah. More than one." Dirk sounded like he felt real fear. It would be the first time in a long time.

To make a long post short: Zephyr was carrying one child. She was just carrying hugely.

"Whoa." Zephyr said, looking at her stomach.

Dirk breathed an audible sigh of relief. "Oh thank god." He murmured. "I don't think I could have handled twins."

"Yeah, my aunt Navati has gotten the twin curse. Every pregnancy she's ever had resulted in twins." Zephyr said, watching the nurse leave with the ultrasound machine.

"But this means I'll have a lot of baby fat to burn." Zephyr said.

"Let's just worry about the baby first." Dirk said with a gentle smile.

"It's a girl right?". Ellery asked.

"Nice to meet you too, miss," Rose replied sweetly.

"Well, the twins and I ate before you came," Alice nodded.

"I wanted to invite her so that you all could meet her." Shinn nodded his head and smiled.

"Yeah he´s been keeping me a secret for no reason." Maisy stuck her tongue out at Shinn before taking a sip from the glass of water she had been drinking.

"The twins can eat?" Mea asked, clearly confused about what she meant.

"Yes, it's a girl." Zephyr said, smiling at her brother.

"And yeah, the fat'll wait for another month." Zephyr said, holding her arms up as so she could be lifted out of the bed in her laying position.
