Thread: Nebula Academy: Search for the Chosen Ones (Start Up)

Jared looked at her once more and sighed in relief. "I'm just glad you're alive."

"Hey guys, I found something!"Ellery screamed as he ran towards the others, causing Shinn to look up at him.

"What is it lassy?" Shinn asked before smirking.

"Fuck you." Ellery frowned before looking at the others. "I think I found it." he said, his hair was completely wet and hitting his face as well as most of his upper body.

Dirk tossed away his cigarette and put it out with a quick shot of ice in midair. "At least I can get out of this place. It's too clean... it just feels so artificial." He mused to himself.

"It's in the water?" Alice asked.

"Okay so where is it then?" Caroline asked with a frown before seeing Ellery run towards the river that he had found. Jared looked at it curiously, noticing that there was a light coming from inside of the water.

"Yep." Ellery nodded his head at Alice. "You don't have to swim much, but it tries to pull you in."

"I can't swim," Alice replied.

"Don't worry, we'll help you out." Shinn stated as he looked at Alice. He looked down at the water and scratched his chin curiously.

"I can help you along, just hold your breath." Jared reassured and smiled.

"Alright," Alice said nervously as she looked at the water.

Jared grabbed her hand softly before he got inside of the river, he looking at Alice. "It'll be okay." he reassured.

Dirk heard water and frowned. Water was a nightmare for firearms and other electronics. This meant that he was forced to lay his entire arsenal out of the grass and form small shadow shields around each item, preventing the water from ruining his most valuable possessions. It took him a few minutes to finish this process and suit up once more and he looked out at the water, curious to see what would happen as the others approached the gate.

"I know," Alice sighed as she took a deep breath.

Once the group had gotten into the river they approached another white light, however, this one sucked them in almost immediately. Ellery coughed as he woke up, feeling weightless. He opened his eyes slowly and noticed that he was laying on a large rock floating above a large forest. "Where?" he asked himself before looking around and gasping. Above in the sky were cities, islands, all of them situated on clouds, pure white clouds, there was also a light shining down on them. "Is this Heaven?"

"This is one of the three realms of heaven, the second one to be precise." Shinn nodded his head as he stood up. "Where Angels and Archangels live."

Dirk was glad that he was wearing arctic tactical gear. The bright white clouds and the light shining down upon was going to allow him to blend in fabulously.

"So now what do we do?' Jared asked in confusion. He knew that there was supposed to be fighting going on but he didn't see anything.

As is on cue a large explosion resounded from the distance, causing Ellery to jump and turn to look in the direction of the explosion. "That answers that."

"That's what I was going to say," Alice nodded.

"I didn't do it." Dirk said with a smile. "For the place that's supposed to be pure and peaceful they have some pretty high grade artillery." He noted dryly. "The noise and chaos from those explosions should allow us to go about our business unnoticed."
