"Perhaps just up the flight of stars, but it's an odd entrance to Heaven" Amber commented, she never exactly imagined how getting there would be like, just getting there. Of course that's when you just die, not go into a subspace.

"We're still in Purgatory." Naomi pointed out and looked up. "This is the entrance."
"So how does this work?" Jared asked with a raised eyebrow as he stared at the flight of stairs.
"Purgatory has multiple levels that we have to cross, each one is a punishment for those that felt bad and begged for forgiveness before dying or something like that." Naomi nodded her head simply. "Or at least that's what most people make of it."
"First up is Antepurgatory, where the late repentant and the excommunicated are sent. It's where we are presently heading to." Zephyr said, taking out a map of Mount Purgatory, as detailed by the Great Poet himself.
"An old law in Purgatorio states that we can only move forward at day. If we try at night, we would be sent back where we walked to." Zephyr added, reading a text of ancient Italian.

"Then it´s a good thing that it´s still morning." Jared pointed out and began to climb the steps. "Let´s go."
"Yay." Naomi smiled and began going up the steps as well. "I hope you are all ready."

"Because dear Alice." Mea said and smiled at the girl. "Don´t you think it´s unfair that we have to be kept away from Heaven just for not following some silly rules." she stated and grinned at her. "You should know that feeling considering the way your mother treats you."
Dirk dropped back into the visible plane on the steps behind Jared with a lit cigarette between his lips. He had gotten careful about smoking near Zephyr because he didn't want to harm the baby. The nicotine entering his system relaxed his nerves. He knew he needed clarity of mind for what lay ahead.
"The time is now, near at hand, which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. Our unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance or the most abject submission. We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die!"

Ellery looked at Alice for a moment and smiled before turning to Mea. "Neither of us want to be here so just let us off." Ellery gritted his teeth and glared at the girl.
"I´m sorry but I can´t do that." Mea shook her head. "But you won´t have to worry, your friends seem to be already at the bottom of this mountain." Mea grinned. "Let´s see if they can clear through it, unlike hell this place isn´t something that you can just fight your way through.¨
Alice glared at Mea before looking at Ellery.
"We should try to meet them halfway," she answered.

"I suppose the forces that be will want us to answer for any and all of our sins and transgressions." Dirk's tone of voice made it clear that he didn't believe in the divine.

"What's the holdup?" Kuroki asked, jumping on Jared's shoulders to avoid getting lost.
"This is the fate of those who were late to repent for their sins by pleading to God as soon as they died or were banned from their church. They must wait to get through the Gate that'll lead them into the path of the Terrances." Zephyr explained, looking around.
