The next day...
Shinn had prepared a portal into Subspace that the group would be using once they all gathered, it was thursday and classes were set to start in an hours. Due to Rose and Amber being out both Battle and poetry would be taken care off by substitute teachers.
Meanwhile Alistair was gettin dressed for the trip.
Rose was holding Claudia and Gale in her arms while Amber was peacefully sleeping in Alistair's arms.
"I hope they'll be alright during the ceremony," she replied.
Dirk was still away from campus. He was busy figuring out exactly which of his hideaways were compromised. The ones that were had teams waiting for him, teams that he had to dispose of before torching the place. It was painful emotionally and it didn't help that he was forced to carry a bag filled with weapons, cash, fake identifications and various other things that would only lead to trouble.
Daphne was lying in bed. She had no interest in getting up for class. She was worried about Dirk, worried that he would do something foolish.
"The time is now, near at hand, which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. Our unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance or the most abject submission. We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die!"

"The babies are nothing to joke about," Rose hissed as she nuzzled Claudia and Gale. Amber yawned and began crying as she was starting to wake up.

"It's okay Amber we're just getting ready." Alistair reassured as he rocked Amber softly in his arms.
Amber kept crying as she opened her eyes.

"I can never do anything right." Alistair whined, whenever he tried to help the kids out he only ended up making things worse. "I really suck as a father."
