Nebula Academy: Search for the Chosen Ones (Start Up)

"Yeah, of course I will. I just wished she would lean on me more as well" Desiree replied, she felt like their friendship hadn't gotten back to the way it had been previously, the best friends as they were, the two who flirted with Cooper and Ellery.

In the meanwhile Luna and Cooper had still been kissing before slightly breaking apart. "You know you were very brave, trying to take on Dante and Daphne like that, I think you are starting to toughen up" Cooper told her, Luna smiled slightly.

"I know, it was insane who knew I could attempt to stand up to such creatures. Maybe there's still hope for me and the acceptance of what all of them are... Wait, what are those two exactly? Or Dirk?" Luna questioned in mid sentence, having no idea what they are.

"Just people with abilities, that's all you should know" Cooper told her before kissing her again.

"I'm human." Dirk answered for Luna's benefit, having received the explanation from Shinn days before. "Well... it's complicated." He added as an afterthought. "The simplest explanation is that I'm a very blessed mage." He mused. "And yes, it was very brave to stand up to Daphne and Dante as a human." He said, tossing a smile Luna's way. "I respect that."

Luna turned and smiled a little at Dirk. "Thanks, I have never done that sort of thing in my entire life, I am usually the one who runs into her daddy's arms and just let him handle it" Luna replied. "I like Mages, I am not sure why but they give me a sense of peace, wish I could be one myself" Luna added.

"I think it's that you are no longer with your Dad, so you know you have to stand up yourself, it's something we all learned to do, some earlier then others like Desiree, Dirk and I all I assume have" Cooper told her as well.

Dirk just nodded slightly at Cooper's words. It hadn't taken him long to learn that he was the only person who could protect himself and Daphne, being that they were orphans and no one cared about their existence let alone their safety. "You know, they're not all bad." He said about the others. "You've just ran into them at a really bad time." He said softly. "Like Cooper ran into Dante at a really bad time... and you with Daphne... I'm sure she'll feel horrible about what just happened by tomorrow and she'll make sure to tell you as much." He pointed out sagely.

Ellery looked at Dirk for a moment and smiled. "Hey Dirk, I'm sorry about the way I acted before." he rubbed the back of his neck while looking away. "The reason I've always been so much of a bother was because I felt kind of jealous of you in a way, the way my siblings just...well they pay a lot more focus to you than they have done to me." he explained while looking downwards. "So I guess I got a bit carried away.

Luna nodded her head understanding. "I get it, and I am sorry for irrupting her date as well, I didn't even know she was on one until she said it" Luna replied. "I still got a lot to learn about the other world, after being shielded from it so much, it's still hard to see they aren't all bad, I really have a damaged outlook on that" Luna added.

"Wasn't the reason you ran Dante at a bad time, was the fact both of you were flirting with Daphne and chased her? What happened there?" Desiree questioned looking a bit confused, Cooper had told her about that one, of course since Desiree had taken her own shot at Dante when she heard what happened. Cooper looked a bit awkward.

"Yes, but after the phone call I just couldn't stop thinking about Luna and what happened, so I gave up on that" Cooper responded.

"Aw, I am so sorry Coop, that my father put you through that, he shouldn't have and I shouldn't have either" Luna replied hugging him again.

"It's not damaged as so much as there's a clear media bias. And your first interactions with their kind... well they didn't help matters." Dirk said to Luna before spinning back and looking at Ellery. "Well I suppose you and I got off on the wrong foot after what happened when your sister and I first got together." Dirk said quietly. "And well I suppose it was only natural for your sister and I to spend a lot of time together. And about your brother. Now that he's with Daphne, that's also expected." He pointed out.

"Yeah, so I guess I felt a little left out." Ellery nodded his head. "I bet that's really dumb." he chuckled before his face turned more serious. "But there's something else." he held his arm up and pointed at Dirk with his fist. "I wanna have that fight, but not out of spite, I wanna do it because...well because even if I know that there's no chance in hell that I could win I still want to prove that I've gotten stronger."

"Yeah, the things that happened to this family, made it hard to accept. Not everyone accepts beings like you guys, even Mages calling it even magic" Luna replied nodding her head.

"Well I know you have." Dirk said after a couple of moments. "I feel the difference in your power level without even trying to do so."

"Yeah but I would still like to test it." Ellery nodded his head with determination.

Dirk shrugged. "Very well." He said after a long moment. "If you want a test, I will provide a stern one."

"So." Ellery withdrew his arm before pocketing and leaning back a bit. "Let's find a place that'll be good enough."

"It does," Rose nodded simply.

Dirk put his arm on Ellery's shoulder and dropped them both into the shadows. They reappeared on a seemingly deserted island. There was nothing but a small cottage and a massive beach that stretched out as far as one could see. "This work for you?" Dirk asked with an amused smile.
