Cooper didn't say anything for a moment but grabbed a jacket, he didn't think he would pass this test considering the only power he had, probably seemed weak compared to the others.
Alice looked at Cooper and smiled slightly.
"Want to team up? I'll try to help you...and not get in the way," she asked nervously.
"Wait Elise, if we do decide to fight you, wouldn't it be fair if you wore a vest?" Jared asked.
"That's not how I was thinking of it," Elise shook her head.
"Please Elise," Jared stated, giving her puppy dog eyes. "I'm not telling you to let us pass just, you know, make it easier we're all tiere and want to take a break>"
Elise seemed to be hesitating for a moment before looking at Jared once more. Suddenly her eyes eased up and she sighe.d "All right. I'll weare a vest if you guys decide to fight me."
"Are you serious?" Daphne asked him. "You do realize we'd have won the other way." She pouted.
"Fighting a teacher is a terrible idea." Dirk laughed.
"Yeah but I wanted to see if I could convince her," Jared whispered to Daphne. "If we all fight together against her then we're bound to hit the spot at some point."
Daphne was still pouting. "She's got a trick or two up her sleeve I'm sure."
"Elise has one weakness," Jared raised his finger. "Subconsciously, she can't wound me, she can hurt me but only mildly," he stated. "She'll hold back as long as I'm fighting. But if you still want to fight against the others then I guess it's okay."
"So basically you want to play the hero because you know you can." Daphne pointed out shrewdly. "Want to impress someone?"
Cooper looked over at Alice and smiled at her "Sure, I think we will do okay" Cooper replied, he would do his best to protect her as well
Jared rubbed the back of his head nervously before looking at Daphne. "Sort of," he nodded his head. "I...haven't really done much since we entered the clock tower, neither have I helped that much...I just want to impress everyone, somehow." he nodded his head. "That way I won't seem so weak."
"Thank you," Alice bowed in thanks, "I don't know how to do much, but I'll try my best."
"You should know by now that women want more than strength." She told him softly. "Intelligence, a good heart... That's more inportant. Trust me."
Alice simply looked over at Jared. Seeing him with Daphne caused her gut to churn. She didn't understand why, but she chose to ignore it.
"Oh well, at least I've got Cooper now," she thought to herself as she smiled at her partner.
Jared looked at Daphne before he looked over at Alice for a moment. "Do you really think so?" he asked insecurely.
Calvin and Camille were unsure of what was going on. Were they all going to fight the teacher? Why the sudden change in circumstances? Regardless, neither felt inclined to participate in the sideshow. They sat down, and prepared to just watch. They'd had enough of being useless in a team thing. They didn't even belong with these people anyway, so why should they be forced to interact with them? It had been made clear that they weren't wanted among the group a long time ago. They began to wonder why they were thinking all these things, and forced themselves to just stop thinking.
