The Lion King III: Zira's Revenge *Me and Dragon Trainer Jun!*

“Alright, Dogo, Rachael,” said Kiara, smiling down at her cubs as she lead them outside. “You can play outside, but stay with Timon and Pumba, ok?” she asked. “Just because your parents are the king and queen doesn’t mean there aren’t some animals out that might hurt you,” she explained, worriedly. “And stay away from the elephant graveyard,” she warned. “The Hyenas are still angry at your grandpa,” she continued. She then looked up to Timon and Pumba. “When they inevitably decide to break those rules, make sure they don’t get hurt,” she whispered to them, more specifically to Pumba, since he tended to be the more level headed of the two. Yes, she wanted her cubs to be safe, but knew without a doubt they’d eventually outright break her rules and wonder off. She was a cub once too, she knew how they thought. “And whatever you do, don’t let them go into the outlands,” she whispered, making sure her kids didn’t hear it. The Outlands no longer had psychotic lioness in them, but they were still full of all sorts of dangerous creatures, like snakes and scorpions. Not to mention all the holes.
“Alright, you can go play,” said Kiara, giving each of her cubs a nuzzle.
Dogo nodded. “Thanks, momma,” he said, rather cutely. “I’ll try and keep Rachael out of trouble,” he said, trying to be responsible, despite, of the two, being the most adventurous. “Come on, Rachael, race you!” he yelled, running off down the path off of Pride Rock.

"Ok!" Rachael cheered. "But, you know I'll win!" she added, running off. "We'll keep a close eye on them, your majesty." Pumba stated. He and the meerkat, Timon, ran to keep up with the cubs. "Don't worry about a thing!" Timon called over his shoulder. Pumba could see Pride Rock on the horizon.

As they raced, Dogo finally tripped and fell, letting his sister win. "Aww, I was gonna win too!" he said, but good naturedly. He got up and followed his sister. "So, what should we play?" he asked, wanting to let his sister decide.
-------------
Kiara gave a sigh as she was left alone and returned to the den, and Kovu. "The cubs are playing...I'm still a bit worried..." she said, being a first time mother, this was natural. "I guess its just a motherly thing..." she continued. "Still...I worry more for Dogo, what if someone picks on him for...you know, how he looks?" she asked, refering to Dogo's resemblence to Zira. They'd tried extremely hard to prevent the cubs from knowing about Zira and Scar, at least until they were old enough to understand.

"How about hide and seek?" Rachael suggested, still smirking over her victory.
"I wouldn't worry too much." Kovu said, trying to soothe his wife. "Zira, and Scar are both gone now. I doubt anyone would find the need to make fun of Dogo."

"Alright," said Dogo, then turned to Timon. "Timon! You be it!" he said. "You're good at it," he explained, though truthfully, the reason wasn't so much that he was good at it but the cubs had a better sense of smell and could find everyone easier. Well except Pumba, mainly because finding him by scent wasn't fun.
------------------
Kiara nodded, then looked sad. "Sorry for bringing your mother up..." she said, feeling rotten. "I know what she did was bad but...she was still your mom after all...I really did try my best to save her..." she said, still regretting not being able to get Zira to safety.

"It's quite alright." Kovu said. "I admit what she did was wrong, but......" He couldn't bring himself to say more about his mother, as tears swelled in his eyes.
"Alright, fine." Timon said. "You go hide, and I'll come find you on thirty." Timon said. Pumba seemed happy that he wasn;t it for once.

"Alright! Let's go!" said Dogo, excited. He quickly ran off to find a place to hide. After searching around a bit, he found an old log and hid inside it, drapping a large leaf over the front that was sitting on top of it.
------------
Kiara nuzzled Kovu. "I know..." she said, feeling guilty. "I think she really did care about you and your siblings...she just got so consumed with hate and revenge..." she stated, sad that was the case. "If she tried to do that to dad for Scar's death, I'm afraid to ask dad if she did something to the Hyenas that actually did eat him..."
OOC: I've always wondered that...

"That's the lease of our troubles, although I do hope that Timon and Pumba are keeping a close eye on the cubs." Kovu said.
Meanwhile...
"16, 9, 645, 21, 30! Ready or not, here I come!" Timon cried, finding Pumba immediately because of his large body sticking out from his hiding place, a small shrub. Rachael was behind a large rock. "Now, I wonder where those kids are?"

Kiara nodded. "Well...they kept dad out of trouble most of his life," she said, remembering the stories. "Want to go see your sister while the cubs are playing?" she asked, Vitani and her had become friends. Helpped Vitani was the second Outlander after Kovu to decide the war was pointless.
-----------------
Dogo remained curled back in his hiding spot, patiently waiting ether Timon to find him or give up.

"Yeah, ok." Kovu replied, leaving the cave.
Timon sat on top of Dogo's hiding place, for a rest. "Man, those cubs are good hiders." he said, wiping off some sweat.

Kiara followed suit, stretching. "The Outlanders are a lot better looking now that they've got the right food," she said. "Including your sister, no offense but before she kind of scared me."
------------------
Dogo held totally still, trying not to let Timon know he was there. He then heard the log under Timon starting to crack.

Kovu chuckled. "You always know how to cheer me up, Kiara. Thank you."
Timon's eyes widened as he heard a crack. Suddenly, the log collapsed, and the meerkat caved in with it.

Kiara chuckled. "Well you do the same for me, Kovu," she said, following him. "I do wonder something," she said. "Why did your sister get named after something meaning 'Demon of War', before there was even the possiblity of a war?" she asked, always confused by that. Nuka's name confused her even more, but given what happened to him, she didn't feel like bringing it up.
OOC: Vitani literally means that. Nuka means stink or smell, so that's why she finds it confusing.
--------------
Dogo tried to remain quiet, but found himself giving a yowl as Timon landed on his back, rather hard. It didn't really hurt him, but suprised him.

"I guess your right. I never thought of that?" Kovu realized.
Timon was surprised as well. After recovering from shock, he finally said, "Haha, I found you!"

"Yeah," said Kiara. "Well, her father was Scar," she stated, figuring that was probably the explaination for Nuka's too. Since Nuka was Scar's rejected child. "It fit her before, but not anymore," she continued, as they got closer to Vitani's cave. "I'm glad she changed sides though, that was suprising to say the least," she continued, as Vitani was...rather violent before hand.
-----------------
Dogo chuckled. "Yeah, you found me," he said, looking up at him. "Can you please get off my back now?"
