Thread: Kingdom Hearts: War of Division RPG Start-Up

Eliot begins to block them in mid air, stopping them before they hit the others. "Hey, can you do that again?" He asks, landing next to Megan. "I'll cover you while you cast more spells."

OOC: She's wearing a poofy silver shirt, silver shorts, and curly toed silver shoes. That's weird even by Kingdom Hearts standards, and I'd laugh too. At least Eliot was nice enough to try to stifle it.

Brenton runs over to the front of the Darkside. He jumps up in front of the hole in it's chest and starts unleashing a Blizzard spell, in an attempt to freeze the hole closed at least temporarily. "Can someone help me with this!?"

Tailisu didn't know what Brenton was about to do, but he might as well help anyway. He jumped, then he point his keyblade at the hole of its chest. "Blizzard!" He shouted, a small ice crystal shot out of the keyblade and collided the hole.

"Thanks but I don't think any of our blizzard spells are powerful enough to actually do this." Brenton says realizing that it probably won't work. He then uses sliding dash to get to the Darkside's leg since it is kneeling. He starts slashing and stabbing, and to finish his combo he shoots a fire spell at the Darkside. His fire spell is like a flamethrower.

A deep rumble began to sound from the Darkside--the equivalent of a groan for such a powerful Heartless, Lady Shimomura. Expertly flipping over and evading the Twilight Thorn's writhing limbs and Thorn attacks, she called to the Keybearers, "Well done! Hurry and finish it off!" Dodging yet another attack, she leapt backwards and blasted the Twilight Thorn with a powerful Triple Firaga assault.

Rising once more, the Darkside brought its remaining arm down in a powerful smash, sending out a wave of darkness, before repeating the attack, still ignoring the Keybearers' attacks.

OOC: Tailisu Edge, Level 2.

Brenton sliding dashes to the Darkside's arm, and slashes left and right, does a jumping uppercut, slashes down, and finishes with a thunder blast from both his hand and his keyblade.

"Alright, listen here, Heartless." Eliot says. "Even if the universe itself tolerates your brutality, you still have to answer to me!" He yells, jumping in the air and slashing at the Darkside's face.

The Darkside gave one last rumble, before leaning back and falling. As the mammoth Heartless fell, its body dissolved into wisps of darkness. They Keybearers only stared in mild shock, amazed that the titan had finally fallen.

Their attention was drawn back to Lady Shimomura, as she cried, "Holy!" Shining pillars of light erupted from the ground around her, spinning and slamming into the Twilight Thorn. The onslaught overwhelmed the Nobody, and it too faded away into darkness.

Master Xine looked grimly around the room, noting the devastation the battle had wreaked. Turning to the Keybearers, he said, "The exam has been postponed. All of you are to return to your rooms. You are all dismissed."

As the students began filing out, he turned to Lady Shimomura. "The Council must be informed," he said gravely, a passionate spark coming to his eye. "You can deny it no longer, my lady. The General has finally made his move. War... is inevitable." Lady Shimomura could make no argument, and shook her head in sad silence.

OOC: Damn, you guys are leveling up fast. Maybe I should have some sort of curve for higher levels...

OOC: Keep in mind, we only get a new ability every two levels, and you have abilities planned for past level 80.

"Wait...That wasn't good enough to count as us passing? Man..." Eliot says, releasing his keyblade. "Damn physical embodiments of evil...Making me miss school..." He says, returning to his dorm.

OOC: But consider this: you and pimpinwhiteninja have gained (nearly) four levels already. This is the first boss. At this rate, the final boss will have a ridiculously high level just to keep up.

OOC: Yeah but thats not terrible plus as this was our first boss which means we are weaker. As the Rp progresses the bosses would be as hard in relation to our level so it will take less posts to defeat it. That boss battle toke a long time when you think about it.

Brenton overhears Eliot and walks over to him. "Yeah how did that not pass us? I mean at least you, me, and those other 3 students. We practically beat it on our own." Brenton complains. "Alright, see yah!" Brenton says as he waves to Eliot and walks away to his dorm.

Tailisu saw the fall of the Giant Heartless, he knew that the ones who took effort in defeating the dark being was two guys. He heard the order by Master Xine to return to their dorms. He sighs then he walks backs towards his Dorm.

OOC: Yeah, but relatively, four levels isn't that much. We'll have to post about sixteen times this much to be at level eighty. Besides, level could be interpreted as relative to race and environment and crap.

"Yeah, that chick in the Silver, she was pretty awesome." Eliot says, taking out a GBA. "They might decide to pass us later, though. Then they'll probably divide us into teams of three, and we'll go on some sort of quest, if my textbooks are any indication."

OOC: Meh, just a thought. We'll see how it goes.

Three days later...

At the Citadel...

In the central tower of the Dark Fortress, the Dark General looked over his kingdom. Although by no stretch of the imagination innocent, the Dark General felt... young again, looking at the Citadel. This is why I am General, he thought. These people are the reason. His bright orange eyes swept over the world, watching the people of the Realm of Darkness hustle and bustle about. His relaxation was interrupted, as an aide entered his chamber.

"My lord," the aide began, haltingly, terrified at being in the same room as the General, "the attack on the Land of Departure has failed. Both the Darkside and Twilight Thorn were defeated. The Keybearers were all defeated."

The General's eyes remained fixed on the world below him. He sighed. "As was expected. It seems we must do this the hard way. Contact Xehanort, and send word to my armies. This war, between Light and Dark, starts now."

At the Seat of War...

Lady Shimomura watched in amazement. For the first time in her memory, the Council was unanimous. Councilor Abelard spoke in a hushed tone, as if he could scarcely believe. "They actually did it.. The General actually dared to attack..."

Councilor Highwind looked at her. "And you have no objections, Lady Shimomura?"

She could only shake her head in response. "What must be done, must be done. I will lead your armies; the Dark General's raw aggression and ambition must be checked." She exhaled. "I... am with you, Councilors."

At the Land of Departure...

The bell rang throughout the land, calling all the students again to the Throne Room. In the wake of the attack, the Throne Room had been completely destroyed; now, although the rear wall and roof were still missing, the rubble had been cleared away. Miraculously, the dais and the thrones had all survived, and Master Xine stood in front of the crowd of students.

"In the light of recent events, it seems this year's exams must be cancelled. However, all of you have shown extreme bravery and fortitude in such trying circumstances. For this, all of you have been awarded... a probationary Mastery. From now, until term resumes three months from now, you will have the full rights of Mastery, including the right to freely wear Keyblade Armor and leave the Land of Departure. When term resumes, if you should demonstrate that you have learned something about Mastery over the break, you will be granted a full Mastery."

Xine paused. "A final warning, then." He surveyed the crowd of students, fixing them all with a grave stare. "The worlds have entered a period of great turmoil. As wielders of the Keyblade, it is our sworn duty to uphold the balance. The worlds have entered a period of great chaos; it is up to you to protect them. I hope you see fit to act wisely and properly in this coming war. That is all." Looking at them one last time, Xine bowed to his students--his former students--in a mark of respect, from one Keyblade Master to another. Xine smiled fully. "It has been an honor teaching you, even if our philosophies... disagree. Good luck, fellow Keybearers."

OOC: And you're off! Free to explore the worlds, to do as you see fit. Of course, I'll give subtle prods toward the plot now and then, but what you do from here on out is up to you.

Brenton Leander, Level 5

"Hey, Brenton, Megan." He says, having learned the name of the oddly dressed girl since the battle. "I was thinking...Maybe we should go and whack the Dark General ourselves?" He asks. "We'd be heroes, and I've read about politics in the realm of darkness, whoever beats him rules the place. Whadda you guys say? Ruler of the Realms of Darkness sounds like a pretty sweet gig."
