Thread: Kingdom Hearts: War of Division RPG Start-Up

OOC: Megan's clothing is not absurd, it's just... different... :) Am sending characters to bed now~

IC: Megan glanced up at a window, sending a frosty glare to some observer before reaching her dorm building, looking up at it. Nodding to herself, she took a little key from a chain around her neck and inserted it into the lock, humming a Hassian lulliby as she did so. Opening up her door, she quickly snatched her key back, slid inside her dorm, and relocked the door; not fully trusting of the other students. A faint smile appearing on her sharp face, Megan slid out of her clothing and into a nightgown, setting her shoes down neatly by the door. Satisfied, she lay down upon her bed, humming the lulliby until she fell asleep.

In a different part of the dormitories, Alase approached a dorm and kicked the door open, walking inside and closing the door behind her. Kicking off her shoes, Alase let out a dry chuckle before collapsing on her bed, clothes and all. Listening to the numerous sounds of people talking, Alase smiled to herself, turned over, and fell asleep promptly.

OOC: Pure reason for this post; further define the differences between my characters, and it's fun!

It will be glorious when I return to the battlefield, thought Barda, Is there anyway to rush it? and with that thought, he left.

Lloyd felt like he was drowning, all he could see was darkness.

OOC: This post is the next day. If anyone has a problem with that then let me know and we can disregard this and start the new day later.

The quiet sounds of the new morning are swiftly interrupted by Brenton' alarm clock blaring. "Ugh! Turn off!" Brenton yells as he casts a water spell at his alarm clock sending it across the room. He lies in bed for about 10 minutes not being able to fall asleep. He looks up at his wall mounted clock and sees that he really needs to wake up. He sits up on his bed and thinks to himself It's the exams today. I really hope I'm ready. He stands up and walks over to his destroyed alarm clock and picks it up. "Oh man." Brenton moans while thinking In the course of a day I sliced my lamp in half and short circuited my alarm clock. He Throws the alarm clock in the trash can and walks over to the lamp and does the same. He then walks over to his dresser and gets dressed. Before putting on hoodie he gathers together all his books. He then summons his keyblade and just looks at it. It's an interesting design, Opposites Attract huh? I understand it, The fire and the water, the light and the dark, the sun and the moon, and on the keychain the red and the blue. He then dismisses it and grabs his hoodie and puts it on. He loads his books into his bag and opens his door. He steps into the hallway and locks the door behind him with his dorm key. I don't understand why they give us room keys if everyone has a keyblade and can just open it.

Aelius strolls down a street of Twilight Town. It is a normally quiet place for its population and even more so in the mornings. He stops to take in the sights, the smells, and the sounds. None of it effects him. Without a heart, without emotions, he can't feel good about any of it. He thinks this everyday and everyday he has more of a reason to acquire a heart. His moment of peace is swiftly disrupted by the sound of someone screaming. Alarmed, he looks around. He hears the scream again and can easily tell that it is coming from the sandlot. He starts running there while simultaneously whipping out his two swords.

Lloyd woke up, being surrounded by darkness, "Hood, where the hell am I?!" There was a brief moment of silence, "I almost forgot for a sec, you don't talk." It felt heavy, almost like he was floating in water. Lloyd equipped his blade, it was surrounded by light. "Guess I'll have to use this," he said as a keyhole was seen glowing from far-away once he equipped his keyblade, "So that's my goal, might as well get started." He started swimming toward it when multiple heartless appeared on the now slightly lit path-way to the keyhole, "Now it got more difficult," he started off with a swing toward the first heartless on the way toward the keyhole.

At the Land of Departure...

Dawn slowly rose over the Land of Departure, brightening the world with light and dispelling the darkness. As the sun rose ever higher, the Keyblade Academy slowly came to life. Teachers hustled throughout the building, preparing for the most important day of the year: end of term exams.

At the center of the chaos, at the heart of the Academy, the vast hall of the Throne Room, Master Xine stood, overseeing his fellow Masters and teachers prepare for the students. Smiling to himself at the sight of so many followers of Light working together in harmony, he summoned his Keyblade--a simple, black design, with a silver, rounded handle, extending with two beams that formed the shaft of the key, and ending with a simple X for the teeth--and activated the Throne Room's bell.

The loud chime rang throughout the Land of Departure, waking any students confident enough to sleep in on exam day, and calling them to the Throne Room for the exams. As students began filing in, Xine's fellow Masters gathered at the head of the room, before the Thrones.

"Greetings, all, my young students," Xine called, although still quite young himself. "Today, you will all be tested on the knowledge you have acquired over the past year. Indeed, some of you may even show the Mark of Mastery, and be promoted to full Keyblade Masters. Regardless of how well or how poorly you do, you will not be judged. The Light has chosen all of you for a reason."

Raising his Keyblade again, Xine summoned several orbs of light, surrounding the students. "And now, a simple combat test. Work together, and destroy the orbs. Go now!"

"Easy." Eliot says, summoning his keyblade. While he respected Master Xine for his skill and how he protected the realms of light, he disliked the way he discriminated against the dark students, and was eager to prove that some of them weren't all bad. He looks at the orbs of light, trying to predict what they'll do, then jumps into the air, swinging his keyblade, and at the same time preparing a Fire spell.

Brenton stands still as a number of orbs move toward him and surround him. He summons his keyblade and glances around at the other students each wielding there own unique keyblade. He snaps out of his thought and realizes the orbs still surrounding him. So Brenton goes into a battle stance and as a few of the surrounding orbs close in on him he does a spinning attack slicing the 3 that were within keyblade range of him.

Meanwhile in Twilight Town, Aelius runs into the sandlot. He sees a crowd of shadow heartless right in the center. "Damn! Where do these things keep coming from?" He runs over to the crowd and slices at a shadow with his longsword. The shadow is taken down in the single hit and Aelius turns to his right and unleashes a flurry of slashes with both of his swords. None of the attacks hit directly and even though he hit about 5 heartless he only toke out two of them. He then stabs at one of the damaged shadows with his shortsword. He leaves the blade inside the heartless and spins around slicing at another damaged shadow with his other sword.

Lloyd was beginning to be able to hold his own against these strange beings, he struck a heartless away a heartless who was starting to close in on him. "Hood!" he yelled as he swung at another heartless. "Where the hell are you?!"

Tailisu summoned his keyblade while rushing towards two orbs nearby. He swung his keyblade at one of the oorbs, then he thrusts at the other one. He managed to destroy both of them. "This seems kind of simple.." He thought.

Master Xine smiled slightly. "Well done, Brenton, Tailisu. But perhaps the rest of you are simply not taking this seriously..."

Xine raised his Keyblade, which flashed with a brief but intense flash of light at the tip. The orbs of light paused momentarily, before flashing in response. Suddenly, their motion became faster and more erratic, weaving back and forth, only to stop suddenly and randomly move in a new direction.

One unlucky student leapt above an orb, aiming to take it down from above, only to be blasted by a weak ray of light. The student went flying, uninjured but stunned. A few of the younger Keybearers gulped nervously, before pressing on anyway, determined to do their best.

OOC: Note that Xine didn't mention Eliot. Not exactly a bastard, but he's certainly not going to go out of his way to praise the Dark.

The rest of the surrounding orbs around Brenton started to close in, but now going much faster. He slashes at one in front of him destroying it easily. He quickly turns around and thrusts forward eliminating another. These move fast but they don't seem to be attacking unless someone is left open Brenton thought to himself. He casts a Water spell knocking a couple orbs back and running up to another and does an uppercut slash, destroying it.

Aelius spins around and pulls his shortsword out of the shadows stomach which eliminates it. He then uses it to block an attack from a Shadow in front of him. He then brings his other sword around and destroys the attacking heartless. As more and more shadows appear and start to circle around him he puts his blades in the air.

Lloyd blinked for a slight second, where he noticed an outline of Hood's appearance, "That's kind of cool, despite my anger!" The last word being said with emphasis and with him Shish-Kebobing two Heartless. Looking at the keyhole about 20 feet away, he said, "Almost there!"

"Alright, let's get dangerous!" Eliot says, summoning a snowstorm. He waits a few minutes, then rapidly casts fire, turninfg the accumulated snow into steam. Finally, as the steam rises, gathering around the balls, he jumps up and casts thunder, zapping many orbs, and also himself, causing him to fall.

Brenton sees an orb above him so he jumps and does a downward slash when he gets to the height of the orb. He lands in a circle of orbs which he can see are all ready to attack. As they each shoot a beam of light, Brenton jumps into the air causing the orbs to hit each other destroying them.

Aelius' two blades start to glow as he yells, "DAYLIGHT!" His blades start to shine even brighter and a beam of light comes from the sky onto him. As the light encases him he seems to disappear. A few seconds later, the light vanishes and Aelius is standing in a battle stance, glowing, and both blades are extended 2 feet longer than they're normal range and also glowing.

OOC: Gads, I very much apololgize for disappearing. I thought the RP had died until I looked and saw the last post was today. I am such an idiot....

IC: Alase had been chasing around orbs at high speed, slashing, slicing, you name it. Her eyes glinted with glee at the fighting, not exactly the same as fighting people, but close enough. She spotted an orb whizzing up high around the room, almost taunting her. Eyes flashing with something not unlike maniacal glee, she jumped up onto the shoulder of a nearby student, pushing off and leaping towards the orb; twisting to dodge the ray that shot towards her and slicing it cleanly down the middle. She watched it disappear with satisfaction before running around once more, occasionally using another student to reach the orbs.

Meanwhile, Megan was using her own keyblade to defend herself, watching the orbs fly around. She could see a faint pattern, occasionally ignored but still there. Raising up her keyblade, she took aim at where she predicted the next light-ball would be.

"Fire!" She shouted, allowing a burst of energy to flow through her and out of her keyblade, blasting right towards the spot. As predicted, a ball of light appeared just as the fireball reached it, causing the light to poof out. Smiling slightly in triumph, the young Princess continued this method, ignoring others.
