The battling system relies on a few things.
1. The move's power and type effectiveness.
2. The quality of the post. Write a lot of description with good grammar and you'll have a good attack.
3. The Power of the Pokémon.
So a high quality post Flamethrower might do more damage than a low-quality Zap Cannon.
The judges of the post quality will be myself and two other officials.
After a battle you will heal 10% every turn. Also your stats will return 1 point closer to normal (i.e. say that your Pokémon used Hone Claws and Close Combat during the battle, its Attack and Accuracy stat would be normal after one turn and its Defense and Special Defense stats would be -1 each. Status conditions do not heal unless you find a Berry. If you do not their effects are as follows:
Poison and Burn: Takes off 6.25% of you health every turn.
Paralysis: Has a 50% chance of your character not moving in each turn.
Confusion: Has an equal chance of moving to each area. Lasts for 1 turn
Freeze: Your character cannot move for 2 turns. If someone finds you you will be encased in a block of ice.
You do not have to use conventional attacks during a battle. You could use Leaf Blade swinging down from a tree with Vine Whip. Also, you do not have to attack, you can dodge or try to escape.
You can use more than one action per post. The only condition is that the second poster in the turn can use as many actions as the first poster did.
When you write a post, don't say what the other Pokémon did unless they have already posted before you. Also, don't say that an attack hit, that is up to the referee (me or an official) to decide.
If you win a 2 battles you evolve one stage (This rule does not apply to 2 stage Pokémon, where 3 battles are required)
