Reece was blinded by the brightness of the sun as he rose to ground level. The golden horn in front of him made everybody nervous. They all knew what it meant, chaos. He stretched and cracked his knuckles nervously as the rest of the contestants rose to the surface

Lyle watched other constants rise from the ground. Instantly he got ready for the bloody fight that it was going to begin. The golden horn gleamed in the brightness of the sun, it was a sign for far worse to come... Lyle stood and crouched, getting ready to get the weapons needed. He remembered the training a couple weeks ago. He was jabbing a punching bag. He decided that he should go alone...

Guess it's just us two for now...

Reece eyed the other contestants.. most of whom looked terrified. "Come on. Pull yourself together. You can do this" he told himself. "You can do this". His knuckles flexed and his feet were itching to propel him towards the golden trident that had taken his eye

He watched the boy come up. He thought about it. Should I team up with someone??? He wondered and thought and watched others. For once in his lifetime, Lyle decided to team up with other players. It would increase his chances of winning if he could team up. He looked back at the weapons and one thing caught his eye... A katana. A symbol of the only person he thought about in his world, grandpa.

The numbers counted down 4....3....2....1... and a gong sounded the start of the bloodshed. He had to get out alive, for his sister. He would miss her birthday whilst he was in the arena, a thought that had not crossed his mind before... He flew from the podium and began to sprint towards the trident. A small child was running next to him, eyes on the trident too. I cant beleive ive got to do this! he thought as he threw his fist into the childs head, sending him crashing to the floor.

Parker stood on a polished metal podium, gleaming gold in the bright lights. He watched as the glass doors closed around him. This is the end, he thought. He looked up as the podium began rising. He saw the darkness of the tube looming above him. The podium rose completely into the darkness, and he looked down just in time to see the last refractions of light dancing around the edges of the metal disc.

Parker's head rose above the ground, and he stared in awe as an asteroid field came into veiw all around him. He looked to his left and saw planets that he had never seen before. He also saw that five other tributes were coming up, each on a seperate asteroid circling a large one with a towering metal structure. He looked closely at the large structure. The cornucopia, he thought.

"Five..." A voice shouted. "Four... three... two... one..." A buzzer sounded and Parker pushed off of the asteroid he was on. He was headed for the heart of the chaos. Headed for the cornucopia, and a weapon.

OOC @Cory28; @Turts; @Reece; @Little Miss Eevee; @Latigarys; LETS REVIVE! REEEVVIIIVVEEEEEEEEE! I'm wondering because it mentions earlier that we all start in different dimensions, so are we to just play it kinda single player for a while? Then meet as the universes merge?

    ----

Reece had begun to convince himself that he could beat the others, that he was better than them, and bounded from the podium the second the horn sounded. He flew across the field of lush green grass that had been designated for his dimension. A small girl caught up to him and had her eyes on the trident too. "Sorry kid." he muttered as he forced his elbow into her temple. She slumped to the ground, unconscious. He was almost there, he just had to get to the other side of a rocky section. Someone slammed into him, forcing him to the ground. This didn't scare him, it annoyed him. "Get... Off" he warned them before he had re-opened his eyes. They obeyed. It was a Girl, about 12 years old, she looked terrified. She didn't run, just stood there muttering "I can't do this... I can't". Reece gave hera pitiful look and ran off towards his Trident, leaving the girl alive. As he was running it kept eating away at him, Go and get her. Make sure she is okay. He grabbed the trident, spun around and instantaneously impaled a tall shaggy haired boy with a blade that was chasing him. He sighed as he saw a burly teenager running towards the girl. She didn't flinch as he bounded towards her. "For the love of god.." He muttered as he began to sprint, and threw his trident. It flew through the air, and just as the teen turned to see who was running, pierced both of his shins. He screamed as he fell to the floor, trying to kick about in pain. He grabbed the knife that the guy had dropped, and calmly thrust it into his throat. He pulled the trident out, threw the girl over his shoulders and ran off into the woods...

OOC: Yes, we will be merging after a few people are killed in each dimension.

Parker pushed off of his asteroid and found himself floating. He was merely inches from the asteroids, but it seemed so much farther away. If this is space, he thought. Then how exactly am I breathing? Parker looked up from the rocks below him just in time to see an arrow flying right towards him. He barrel-rolled out of the way, drifting off to the side. He began moving his arms and legs as if he were swimming. He made very little progress, and thought about movement for a moment. If I swing my head hard enough... He swun his head and began tumbling forward at a decent pace.

"Yes!" Parker cried in excitement. If only I could see if another arrow was - "Aaaaghhh!" His thoughts were cut short as an arrow embedded itself roughly two inches deep into his shouler. He began to tug on the arrow. He knew that he could either leave the arrow there and risk infection, or pull it out and risk the loss of use in his right arm. "Might as well..." He said, pulling the arrow out of his arm and watching blood droplets float through space. He threw the arrow to his side and tumbled the few feet left to the cornucopia. He grasped the upper rim and pushed himself down onto a girl's head with all of his force. The girl's head split open as it hit the rocky surface below her. Parker realized who it was that he had killed - It was the girl from his district. He shook his head as a cannon fired and began looking a sword.

The two were being followed through the woods, and the girl was running by Reece's side by now. She was panting as arrows began to fly past them. "Need....to get ... to the river..." She huffed as she began to stray from Reece. "See you there then" he said to her as they split up. Reece dived off to the left, the girl to the right. He knew that the follower would go for the weaker one, he ran straight past Reece, finding himself with a trident through his back. Reece jumped back down from the hill on the left, and was struck on the back of the head by a heavy object. He hadn't anticipated teamwork. He couldnt hear talking, maybe my attacker is alone... he thought. As he rolled onto his back, he saw a huge guy, build like a tank, raising a club that had clearly been made from a felled tree. Reece was helpless on the floor...

Parker saw exactly what he was looking for, and he lost all hope of even making it ten more minutes. He saw a solid gold sword that resembled the well designed swords from hundreds of years ago. He would have liked to grab it, and win the games, but it was impossible to get to. The sword was in a rock.

"Really?" Parker questioned aloud. "Is this some sort of reference to Camelot?" He walked up to the sword and put his hands on the hilt. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a knife whirling through the air towards him. He moved backwards and watched in horror as the kinfe embedded itself in the golden metal of the cornucopia all the way to the handle. He looked towards his attacker, and saw a nothing but a silhouette. Whoever it was was very tall, muscualar, and had a few more throwing kives to spare. Parker whirled around and pulled on the srowd as hard as he pssibly could, and suddenly felt a seearing pain in his lower left leg.
