((OK, we can start at White Forest then.))
James Hall was pacing around one of the storage areas of the White Forest base, muttering to himself about how he had to stay in the base, while most of his friends had to go out on a scouting mission. He sat down against the wall, scowling. He prodded one of the storage crates with his SMG, curious as to what it contained.

The crate's contents were a little special this time around: Instead of grenades, rockets or ammo, it contained a fellow female Resistance fighter whose name nobody but herself could pronounce correctly: Miyuki Shiroyama. What a Japanese woman was doing in Europe at the day of the Seven-Hour war was left up to guess for her fellow Resistance fighters since she never really told anybody. She was known in the entire Resistance for her name, nationality and relatively long hair, which was quite unusual for Resistance fighters.
Miyuki, who had been taking some of the the crate's original contents earlier, apparently bumped into something on her way out and got stunned for a bit and fell after which the crate shut itself, locking Miyuki in, who woke up from a short nap when James prodded the crate, waiting for him to open it.

James stood up, and unlocked the crate, to examine the contents. He slid the top off, and jumped back in surprise when he saw Miyuki inside it.
"Uh...What are you doing in there?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

''Talking to the grenades about the weather. I dunno, what would a girl be doing inside a crate?'' Miyuki replied, climbing out. ''Say, I've never seen you around on this base before. Probably because the Magnusson guy stationed me in the secondary silo. So who might you be?'' Miyuki asked.

"Name's James." he answered. "Anyways, if you're stationed in the secondary silo, what're you doing up here?"

''I took a little break to get some grenades and look if we had any spare AR2 secondary ammo. Name's Miyuki, by the way.'' Miyuki replied.

James shrugged.
"Well, nice to meet you." he said. He sighed, and leaned against a wall. "You know, I don't even know why I have this gun. I haven't fired it since I got here."

''Yeah, I got some action when the Combine attacked the secondary silo. Killed a bunch of guys before a Hunter stabbed me with those freaky things underneath it's main body. Good thing that it got its arse kicked by AR2 secondary fire just before it impaled me, though.'' Miyuki said, showing James two small wounds just underneath her chest. ''Failed to really do damage, luckily.'' She remarked.

James' eyes widened.
"Wow. I didn't think anybody could get that close to those things and live. Heh, lucky you, I guess." he said, smirking.

''Close call, though. I still see that thing raising it's leg and thrusting it down just before it got hit by that Dark Energy Ball when I have a nightmare. Sometimes, no action is better than a lot of action.'' Miyuki replied. ''Say, since you're probably stationed in the primary silo, did anything terribly interesting happen lately while I took a nap along with the grenades?'' She asked.

James chuckled, and stood up straight.
"They launched the rocket." he said. "Don't know if you already know, though. Heard there were a bunch of Striders trying to stop it."

''Yeah, I know about the rocket part. What about Freeman and Eli's daughter? Alyx, wasn't it? Where are they right now?'' Miyuki asked.

"Them? I think they're gonna go look for that old ship, the Borealis, I think it was. Don't see the point, myself." James said with a sigh. "Not much happening here anymore, now the rocket's launched."

''Wouldn't say that too loudly, my friend. Let's go check on our resident eggheads over at the primary silo.'' Miyuki said before pulling her AR2 out of the crate behind her.
