The Gym Leader Tales (Start up Thread) (Sign ups still ongoing)

'Why so suddenly sweet?' Junine thought to herself surprised by the change in character again. "I'm from Striaton City in the Unova region. You?"

"Jubilife City in Sinnoh!" Lia practically shouted, "It's great there; have you ever been?" Without waiting for an answer, she continued, "Though, I consider Hoenn and Unova home just as much as Sinnoh. I traveled there for a few years after I ran away from my parents to train! It was so much fun, and it only took me a year in each region to beat the Elite Four!"

"I was a coordinator, but Emerald wanted to battle so I challenged the Unova league. I found it to be fun so when I heard about this I decided to try my luck at being a gym leader."

"Oh, cool! I did a few Contests in Hearthome City, and it was really fun! Have you ever heard of Fantina? She's an amazing Co-ordinator, and a Gym Leader too! Plus, she's super pretty and nice! I went against her in a contest, and she was spectacular!" Lia said dreamily, "Sinnoh is so cool."

Junine was slightly taken aback by how much the girl could talk. "I liked Hoenn better."

Lia nodded excitedly, "Hoenn has so much...nature. Everything is so pretty and natural and beautiful. They volcanoes are so pretty, too! I almost got melted when one erupted! It was so cool!" she gushed.

[Midorikawa]

"I never went to the volcano."

"It was really hot up there! But a nice lady gave me a Lava Cookie, so the trip is definitely worth it!" Lia said, "Have you been to any other regions?"

[Midorikawa]

"All of them," Junine replied to Lia.

Lia's eyes popped, "Really?! I've always wanted to go to Johto and Kanto, but I've never had the time! Someday, I'll go. I've heard about the Tin Tower, have you been there before?"

[Midorikawa]

"Y-yes. It was really nice. The monks there were super nice as well. I even went into the burned tower. It had a lot of ghost types since it's abandoned."

Calvin and Raven casually strutted over to the food area, gathering food for themselves. They'd noted their fellow competitors and silently gathered information, hoping to stay as incognito as they could. Thus, they didn't bother to let out any Pokémon. When they gathered their food, they kept walking, ignoring anyone nearby.

"Hey, Junine, did you see those two creepy people walk by? They're probably so full of themselves, like 'Oh, we're totally boss and all these guys are losers'. I hate people like that," Lia paused, "I am acting like that? I always try to be as amicable as possible."

[Midorikawa]

"Some people just don't want others to know anything about them so that their opponent can't plan a strategy against them. It's the reason that the only pokemon I'll allow out other than Emerald is Lady, this way no one knows what type I train."

Jacob gave up trying to eat and started looking for someone to talk to.
