Velporamee Altrope Tai'Trur; literally "The one who stomps" in the language of old Nido. Gender:
149; about 50 or so in human years Species:
Since the members of the Nido-races have a greater appreciation for combat and a vaguely "Medival" society structure, it's not a surprise that, like most Nidoking, Velporamee became a warlord. A prestigious veteran of the legendary (among the eastern tribes, anyway) Go'Gamee Uprising, where hordes of Mankey and Primeape came across their land like the Huns in human society, Velporamee is not only a considerable warrior, but a ferocious presence on the battlefield; though his race is known for violence and brutality, Velporamee is particularly fond of spilling blood and crushing bones in the most fantastically brutal of fashions, known by his brethren - and later, his people - to be especially creative with placing an enemy on the ground and curb-stomping their heads into mush, hence his name upon recognition as tribe-leader. He has a particularly powerful sense of honor and pride, and insulting his people or his competance is capable of evoking a killing blow on his part. Has been known to be comsumed with the lust of war, plunging into enemy lines like a thing out of hell and coming out with considerably minor injuries. While this goes to show what a very capable warrior and conquerer he is capable of being, it also goes to show how very violent and bloodthirsty he can be, often breaking into a blood rage and mindlessly hurling himself forward into the heat of battle in a quest for another kill. In that light, it's somewhat of a surprise that he's managed to age to the point that he has, thuogh the consderable scars across his hide are nothing out of place. Perhaps not the best one to send in if you're not going for anything short of total decimation, but if you want to get something smashed or hold off an impossible enemy, Velporamee's the only one for the job. Appearance:
A regular Nidoking, though somewhat impressive in size for his species; the spines on his back are particularly mangled and gnarled, broken off in places, and his hooves are forever stained a light shade of pinkish red from living up to his namesake; it gets hard to keep washing out blood from that leathery skin and those iron-hard hooves, after all. His tail is shorter than most Nidokings', since the end was severed in a battle, and since he's a warlord, he has the chestplate bearing his tribe's crest on it in vibrant reds and purples that he wears at all times. Can generally be seen with his arms crossed, which is difficult to do for Nidokings, considering their spine-structure. Guess getting roughed up in war pays off in some ways after all. Don't even try counting the individual scars across his leathery lavendar hide - you'll be there all day, and Nidoking don't like people that stare. it tends to be bad for your life expectancy. Theme Song: An Armored Prayer Other:
Because he's a warlord and a leader of a people, he has a pair of Nidorino bodyguards that follow him wherever her goes. They look like any other Nidorino, albeit with facegear of greenish metal bearing the crest of their tribe.
