Thread: Familiars

The attack worked; however as soon as the eye fell to the floor more of them began popping out. "It's a whole herd of them," Edison gasped before he saw a pair of claws come out from one of the eyes and shoot towards the group.

Snow sighed, drawing a long, curved dagger and stepping in front of Devyon protectively, although she wasn't sure why.
She slashed, focusing more on defence, and pushing the foe back.
"Mageling, if your magic could assist, now would be a-"
She charged another foe.
"-Good time."

"Wait stop!" Edison yelled as the eyes of all the creatures started glowing red, causing the paralyzing sight to activate.

Snow growled, feeling her arms begin to grow numb.
"How do I stop them...?"
She murmured, feeling her legs and mouth begin to seize up.

"They blink every five minutes," Edison stated with a quick nod and a grunt.

Snow's eyes narrowed, although she could no longer move her mouth, being closer than Edison.
She rolled her eyes, and waited patiently.

"So your job is to follow us around, and record our every move?" guessed Daemon, pulling his robe off to prevent overheating, "Are you allowed to help us in like the sight of danger? Magical Creature tries to kill us, do you just standback and watch?"

"I will help out if I'm able to," Karl replied.

"Besides it's not like we'll get defeated by any simple Magical Creature," Artemis smiled before she began walking. "We're near water so we should get a boat in inspect around the coast first since the card is probably underwater," she explained.

After a few minutes the three of them were riding on top of a small boat through the large see, with Artemis holding the card out to try and locate the other pair.

Aurum nodded his head. He turned around in a circle, holding the card directly on his ear. He faced a random direction and heard a slight beep, suggesting the card would be further than Aurum had originally thought. "I bet the card is somewhere over there," Aurum said, pointing in the direction. "Is that where the wind clears up?" Aurum asked, pulling his robes tighter.

"I hope so," Lewis nodded his head.

"I still wish I could have something warmer though," Jason said as he saw Lewis beginning to walk towards the direction. "Maybe we should follow."

Daemon listened closely to the card as they moved along the water. An extremely feint beep resonated from the card. "Did you hear that?" he asked, not sure if the card had actually made a noise. Even if there was a beep it was too feint to be much of a clue.

"Yeah you're right," Artemis nodded her head. She held the card out towards the water as it kept beeping, though it was a little bit louder now. "It must be under the water. We're gonna have to dive,"

Daemon groaned as he began to remove his outer armor. He wasn't a strong swimmer as it was, so extra weight wouldn't help much. "Any magical water spells in your arsenal," he asked preparing to jump out of the boat.

"I'm going with you," Artemis nodded her head before she started taking her clothes off. "I know one that might help us ou, but we have to jump first."

"Here goes nothing," Daemon said under his breath. He leapt off the boat and into the water. He struggled the surface and took a deep breath only to dive back down.
