"Awesome," Tyler grinned before moving his chair so that it'll be facing at Kyle. "And since I'm the one that challenged you I'll let you pick the first competition."
"What's this I hear about a competition?" Kaelyn asked, paying for her coffee and sidling over to the large group, having apparently only heard snippets of the conversation from her previous position. She wasn't too interested in the competition, to be quite honest, but she'd far rather have people to talk to then be forced to loiter on her lonesome on the other side of the cafe. Although a competition did sound entertaining, at the least. Taking a gulp of her newly-purchased coffee she waited for a reply, hovering awkwardly to the side of the group, head tilted in visible curiousity.

"No, no, no..." Kyle countered Tyler, ignoring Yuki's scoffing, "That's not how it's done! The challenger picks who they're facing, but the challenged determines the competition! In this case, though, I think Jackson should pick," he finished, smiling and nodding at Jackson knowingly, as if he expected his friend to pick something incredibly biased in his favor.
"Sounds like a laugh," Kaelyn decided, grinning slightly to herself as she sipped her drink, "but why are they becoming roommates in the first place?"
Visibly confused, Kaelyn tried valiantly to piece together a reason why anyone would be needing a roommate, giving up rather rapidly after deciding that it would be far easier just to wait for a response.

"I got evicted and he wants to pay less," Tyler replied as he pointed at Kyle and himself respectively.

Feeling slightly put out, Leo frowned, and decided to butt in once more. "Hey, there's no need for something so messy. One of you can just room with me!" he said, giving a winning smile. They were all friends, after all; surely having one of the guys as a roommate wouldn't be so bad?

"So what's the competition going to be?" Tyler asked after turning around to look at Jackson; seemingly ignoring Leo.
Jackson held up his hands. "I have nothing to do with this." He started laughing. "You guys figure it out."
"The time is now, near at hand, which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. Our unrelenting enemy leaves us only the choice of brave resistance or the most abject submission. We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die!"

"Oh I know," Tyler raised his head before turning to Leo. "Leo's looking for a roommate two how about the one that loses rooms with him," he said, mostly because now he just wanted to defeat Kyle at something.
"Hey, it's just like high school!" Kyle teased, nudging Leo, before leaning away awkwardly as he realized Leo wasn't laughing.
"... Anyways, works for me. What did you have in mind?" he asked, "I'll let you choose... what would you like me to beat you at?"
"Cooking, let's see which one of us cooks better," Tyler said as he raised his finger. "A good roommate needs to know how to cook."
