Koden just mumbled into his pillow.

Cynthia blinked.
"Um... Well..."
She coughed.
"Every good champion learns from their mistakes. A life without mistakes would mean a life without learning from them... What doesn't KO you can only make you stronger, right...?"

"UGH. I don't think you understand. " Koden said.

Cynthia sat down.
"Enlighten me."

Miles was still nearby and he decided to hear Koden's story as he leaned against the frame of the door.

"I don't know." Koden said. "People only like me when I win. Everyone was so happy that I won Sinnoh league. But now I haven't won since and nobody will ever like me!"

"You need to train, is all. You've got to remember, you're surrounded by the very best here..."
Cynthia pointed out calmly.
"You could catch some new Pokemon too... I mean, we're in Unova... There are whole different species from the ones you're used to..."

"Sure." Koden mumbled. He hiccuped into his pillow.

Cynthia smiled.
"C'mon. Shall we head out?"

"Sure" Koden said, throwing his pillow to the side and rolling out of his bed. He then left the room and made a meek smile at Cynthia.
