Thread: The End of Days *Start Up*

((OOC: Okay, Jagz has had two weeks to post and I'm getting fed up of waiting for people. I'm deciding the end of the battle, no arguments, period.))

As the dust cleared around the battlefield, the two challengers crouched, panting at their ends of the stadium. Gengar and Snorlax, the only Pokémon left in the battle, glared at each other, and then fall backwards. Both challengers, along with Willis, looked up at the scoreboard to see who had won.

A.D's points bar was at less than half, but Clarke's points were depleted. The screen flashed, and A.D's face appeared on the screen, next to the words "Winner".

Willis grinned to himself, and picked up his megaphone.

"Congradulations, A.D. Now, let us pick the next group of challengers." he boomed. Slowking stepped out into the middle of the battlefield, and picked out two pieces of paper using Psychic. They swirled the length of the room, doing their beautiful dance, before whizzing around Slowking's back and getting caught by Willis.

"The next challengers will be..."

"Wayne Dali & Kirk Bailey."

A.D returned his Pokémon, before stepping down from the podium in order to allow the next challengers the stage. He chose to sit away from the main group, but close enough to hear them, before tapping the floor with his foot a few times. After a few minutes, he repeated this.

(I must have forgot to mention that Jagz will not be able to post for a month or 2... He said he might not actually return, but he could.)

Wayne did not expect to be called next, or against Kirk. He kind of wanted to decimate the team of the idiot with the stupid jacket who was full of himself. But alas, he could not get the pleasure.

"Hmm. I guess I am next." Wayne said returning Alakazam. He took his place on the field where A.D. had stood before him. He reached his hands and crossed them at the waist and held two Pokéballs. "When you are ready Kirk. Unless you just want to forfeit now and save your Pokémon the injuries." he smirked.

Kirk stepped down from the stands and walked over to where Clarke stood moments before.

"Full of fire," he smirked, two Poké Balls seemingly flying into his hands of their own accord, showing their eagerness to battle, "let's do this."

He threw his two Poké Balls into the air, which cracked open, releasing a Vaporeon and a Donphan.

Wayne chuckled, then turned serious. "My strongest duo, let me show you them!" he shouted as he threw the balls, the burst open right when he called their respective names. "The Fire type, Arcanine, and the Psychic Type, Alakazam, now STAND Both of You!" The two burst out and looked prepared for a battle of the century. "Bring it!" Wayne taunted.

Forest watched from the side, he knew he was late. He didn't expect to have a conference right when he needed to be here. Garchomp accompanied him, at his side. Waiting for any order.

He walked closer, but stayed a good distance; hoping none would notice him.

Kirk ran his fingers through his hair, quickly calculating tactics that would be effective against Alakazam and Arcanine. He grinned, scratched his chin, and nodded towards Vaporeon and Donphan, who nodded back.

"VD Tactic 12: Vaporeon, Acid Armor. Donphan, Rollout on Arcanine." he called to his Pokémon.

Vaporeon flopped down with a loud splashing sound, and completely disappeared. Donphan started to build up momentum, and then hurtled towards Arcanine at break-neck speed.

Forest stepped out of the shadows, amazed at what these battlers could do.

He wasn't all good at competitive battling though...

Wayne smirked. Kirk had good ideas, but Wayne had better. "Now, Counter Technique Beta! Alakazam! Psychic to stop Rollout! Arcanine! ExtremeSpeed on Vaporeon!" Arcanine was off first, running at high sppeeds and slammed into Vaporeon just as it was disappearing. Alakazam protected Arcanine from rollout by picking up the Donphan while it was rolling to allow it to get momentum, and thrusting his spoons forward, thus throwing Donphan against the wall behind Kirk with a loud thump. "Is that all?" he taunted.

(Hope Arcanine beating Vap to Acid Armor is legal. It IS ExtremeSpeed, a priority move.)

Vaporeon dropped to the floor and rolled underneath Arcanine's legs, then disappeared completely underground. Donphan sustained damage from hitting the wall, but a torrent of water burst from the wall, blasting Donphan across the room where it landed in a Rollout, tearing up the battlefield and slamming into Arcanine.

((OOC: Going to bed.))

"I like that technique , but improvising is more fun." Zac said to himself.

"Grr..." Wayne was getting angry. "Set Up Technique AAGamma! Alakazam! Calm Mind! Arcanine! Protect it with Heat Wave!" he ordered. Alakazam backed up and began to meditate, raising his stats. Arcanine moved in front of him and and inhaled deeply, the exhaled a huge breath that sent fire all over the field, scorching every thing in its path.

Vaporeon, in danger of his water form being evaporated by the Heat Wave, burst out of the ground, where Donphan leapt into the air, caught Vaporeon and curled itself around it. It used Protect, protecting them both. Donphan uncurled himself, and Vaporeon stepped out from his shell.

"VD Tactic 4." Kirk called to his Pokémon, and they nodded back to him. Donphan curled up, and Vaporeon jumped on his back, then leapt into the air, somersaulted, and smashed into it, causing it to ricochet into the air, where it slammed into the ground, using an Earthquake as it landed, causing the battlefield to crack and rise up, making it uneven and rocky.

"Ever battled on a Rock-Type field?" Kirk asked Wayne.

Zac took out his Poliwag, Red Swirl, to feed her her bottle. Poiwag first jumped and moved her feet as if to convey a message. "What's that? You learned Hypnosis. Good job," Zac said as he patted her on her head.

Nathan walked to the stadium. "Hmm so here it is let's go in." Nathan walked in and sat down." ((Good battle that is)) He said to himself.
