Thread: The End of Days *Start Up*

Clarke was happy to be up first, he'd get a chance to show everyone what he was made of. A.D seemed like a worthy opponent so he was certainly in for a good battle.

"Why do we need the extra gym leaders?" Clarke asked with a confused and worried look on his face. He expected the worst.

Willis smiled reassuringly at Clarke.
"It's to see how well you cope under pressure." he said, simply.
Kirk smirked at that comment. Simply saying 'it's too see how well you cope under pressure' is sure to amp up the pressure even more. If he had told them what was coming, it would have ruined any intended worry he wanted to force on them.
The man was nuts, but he knew what he was doing.

(OOC: Can I have a few more pokes in the PC?)
"Well, this should be interesting." Zac looked at his two pokeballs. "You guys rest for now, because I want you two to win."

"It's to see how well you cope under pressure." he said, simply.
Pressure, hmmm. I wonder what he means by that, I need to show my strength. I'm not to be messed with.

Willis looked once more at the two challengers.
"Well, this way, I suppose." he wheezed. He came out from behind the counter and went to walk through the doors, before pausing and spinning round to face the trainers.
"Oh yes. All of the trainers will have to follow us. We cannot have us going back and forth to the tower to decide matchups, can we now?" he smiled, then walked through the doors. His Slowking stepped slowly after him.
Kirk was happy about what was taking place. No better way to decide a team of super-trainers than battling them, a pressurised battle at that. This would be absolutely brilliant.

A.D followed, still holding a Great Ball and a Pokéball in his right hand. He looked through the transparent tops* to see his choices getting ready to battle. It wasn't often they did, only in life-or-death situations were they able to battle as much as they wanted...which this technically was, but you know what I mean.

* I'm thinking of Pokémon Special Pokéballs, where you can see through the top to the Pokémon inside.

Hmm... I wonder who will be unlucky enough to get me... My toughest duo are ready to decimate any who challenge me... Wayne smirked, following behind everyone, Alakazam floating beside him, legs crossed in meditation. What will your strategy be for your battle Wayne? Alakazam asked out loud, where someone could hear him... (I want someone to hear 'Zam talking and question me about it plz...) "Silence 'Zam, you don't want somone to hear you!" I suppose not... "ZAM!!!" Wayne whispered loudly....

I'll get there first, for all of my adoring fans! Archie says. He grabs Infernale and Lopunny's paws, and takes out a machine that looks like a gun.
"So long, suckas! See you at the finish line!" He pulls the trigger, and a chain extends towards the nearest building... About 1 feet, then falls halfheartedly to the ground. Infernape is not surprised. Archie shrugs, and heads towards the gym, tossing the gadget over his shoulder and hitting Zac with it.

(OOC: Probably best if you don't put that bit at the end. It's kind of like godmodding. It's their character owners choice to get hit by it. Just saying.)

Willis and Kirk both entered the gym before anyone else. Willis jumped up onto the third step in the stands, then ran over to a plinth in the center of the stands. Kirk started from the bottom step and trotted up to sit next to the plinth.
Willis pulled out his megaphone from nowhere, and clicked the button on it. It screeched loudly, then he put it to his lips, and his voice was amplified magnificently.
"Challengers, please take your positions at either side of the battlefield and prepare for combat. Let's get ready to rumble!" he breathed.
Kirk decided he liked Willis.

A.D took the right side of the field, tossing the two Pokéballs up and down, neither colliding with each other.
"I'm ready when you are," A.D called over to his opponent.

(OOC: I'm fine with it, but just try not to godmod.)

"Oww! Seriously, check before you throw things.," Zac said. He looked at the gadget. "With this design like this, this wouldn't have worked in a hundred years, I'll just fix this for you." Zac just put it in his Backpack to work on later.

"Can we just DO this already?" Wayne asked impatintly... Calm down now... Alakazam ordered "STOP TALKING OUT LOUD LIKE THAT!!" Wayne whispered angrily to his trusted friend.

"No, no, it's... ummmm... meant to do that! Yeah! In case someone steals my toolbelt!" He says. "Rule 659: Always have gadgets in your utility belts that don't work, in case of pickpockets!" He gets the Handbook and writes said rule down.

"So you don't want me to make it work?" Zac asked Archie.

"Uhhhhhh... Wait, what?" Archie said. "Oh, yeah, sure' thanks! Here, have an autograph!" He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper with what looks like an illegible signature on it.
