"Sis, where are you going?" Six year old Victoria asked her older sister, Hailey.

"I'm going to start my journey as a Pokemon Trainer." Hailey replied and put a few Potions into her knapsack.

"Can I come with you?" Victoria asked her sister.

"No. You'll have to wait until you're older." Hailey gave her sister a sad smile and set off for Sandgem Town.

Present Day

RIIING!

"Stupid alarm clock!" Victoria rubbed her head and leaned over to turn off the alarm. "Maybe I'll sleep in...Just a few more minutes..." Victoria yawned and closed her eyes.

"OHMIGOSH!" Victoria jumped up in her bed. "This is the day, I start my Pokemon journey! I can't be late!" Victoria quickly dashed to her closet and changed into a pair of clothes.

Victoria looked at her watch. "Oh man! Its 8:45am! Mom told me I had to ready to meet him at 9:00!"

Victoria quickly dashed out of her house and towards Sandgem Town.

Wyrm's alarm clock rang, and he jumped out of bed.

"Yes! I finally start my Pokemon Journey today!"

He threw on his best pair of clothes. He rushed down stairs.

"Mom, I am going on my journey today!"

"Oh wow, time flies! Here's your bag."

She kissed Wyrm good-bye and he left. As he was walking towards Sandgem Town he saw Victoria.

"Hey Victoria! Come over here!"

He and Victoria were very good friends, even though he is two years older than her.

Victoria heard someone call her name and she turned around and saw Wyrm.

"Hey Wyrm! You starting your journey today?" Victoria asked.

"Yeah, wanna go together? I think it would be better to travel with someone other than by myself!"

"Sure!" Victoria replied. "Lets go to Professor Rowan's lab!"

Wyrm smiled. He ran and caught up with her. As they came across a patch of tall grass, Wyrm said, "Wait, we don't have Pokemon, how can we get through here?"

Dusza Koning had already received his Pokemon previously from the professor, and passed by Victoria and Wyrm. He continued into the tall grass, running into a Starly. He then sent out Cesarez, who glared at the bird-like Pokemon.

The Starly tried to ram at Cesarez, but the Piplup ducked under the gliding Starly, and gave an uppercut (Pound) right in the Starly's chest, knocking it back a good few feet. The Starly then growled at the Piplup, decreasing its attack power slightly, but Cesarez shook it off, and smacked the Piplup in the jaw, making it faint.

Dusza beckoned the Pokemon by his side, giving Victoria and Wyrm a sardonic smirk, and continuing on.


OOC: Sardonic is a fancy way of saying mocking.

"Grr..."


"Hey losers!"

It was Corey.

"Hey Wyrm, goin' on an adventure with your little friend? Hahaha. Got your starter yet? I chose a- Actually I shouldn't spoil the surprise."

With that he pushed by Wyrm, mockingly tilting his head.

"That showoff!" Victoria fumed at the boy. "Come on! Lets go!" Victoria made a move to jump over the tall grass.

"STOP!" A voice shouted.

Wyrm flipped around, seeing who it was that said to stop.

"No one tells me what to do!" Wyrm thought to himself.

Then he saw who it was. His mouth opened wide enough to shove a Poke Ball down.

Dusza continued walking along Route 201, and ended up taking out another Starly and a Bidoof, both of which were easy prey to Cesarez. Dusza was feeling fairly confident in his partner's abilities at this point, but he wanted a particular type of Pokemon to add to his team...a ghost. He had always had a liking for those who resided in the ethereal plane. And having one under his command would be a dream come true.

Professor Rowan stepped towards the kids. "What do you do think you're doing going into the tall grass without Pokemon?"

Corey
Corey continued walking down the route. He called another trainer over.

"Hey you, you look weak, wanna fight?"

Wyrm

"Uuuh......" he shook himself. He was stunned he saw Prof. Rowan. He didn't expect it.

"We were going to your lab to get our starter Pokemon sir."

Dusza looked back at the trainer and let out a bark of laughter. "Do you really think you stand a chance?" he said, his somber tone of voice mocking. "Unlike yourself, I have had experience prior to this. Are you absolutely certain? Because if so, I might challenge you again. And trust me, after I acquire more powerful creatures..." he said, turning to face his opponent, his smirk now a slightly sadistic sneer.

"I'll make sure that fear envelops your every thought, infests your dreams, haunts your nightmares. You will be helpless before the powers that inhabit those of the ethereal plane."

He gave a gesture to Cesarez, and the Piplup jumped in front of Dusza, a psychotic smirk clearly visible.

Corey

"Didn't need the speech, but thanks anyway weirdo. Lets go Squirtle, make him suffer with Scratch!"
