Evan doesn't. He's presently trying to cure his insanity in the hopes that it'll get him the island. However, if it doesn't work, he'll kill her to put her out of her misery, so yeah. Also, I think everybody thinks she's supposed to be a bad guy, and we're supposed to kill her.

...Oh my gosh I'm so confused right now, especially with everyone posting at the same time. So Naomi didn't get hit by Domovoi's attack because Eliot and Mary made a forcefield around her before she could be hit, right?

But you never said he teleported inside the second forcefield. Mary took off the one surrounding her a few pages back, then Domovoi appeared, then he attacked her, then Eliot and Mary combined powers to make a forcefield around her to protect her from his attack.
