Jack was completely prepared for his trip. Since the incident with the authorities, he had isolated himself in his room for the most part, reading and preparing mentally for the knowledge he would gain from their expedition.

Brine knocked on Jack's door, over the course of the two weeks Brine cooled off and at least tried to apologize, "Hey, I'm here to leech information from you."
My approach to acting is that I am totally intuitive. I read the script and I get it. If I don't get it, I can't do it.

"That sounds lovely." Jack said dryly.

"What I don't read books," Brine said.

"You could try it." Jack suggested, tossing a book at Brine titled 'The Lost Legend of the 100 Years of Darkness'

Brine caught it and took a seat, "So, what're you searching for in these piles of dead plant life?" Brine opened the book up and started reading.

Sakura walked towards Jack's room and knocked on the door. "Jack, are you in there?"

"Yeah come on in Sakura!" Jack shouted. "I'm just showing Brine the joys of reading!" He added before looking over his current book at Brine. "Nothing in particular. Everything I learn from every book... it all could be useful someday, somewhere."

"Oh that's good." Sakura smiled and walked inside before she walked over to the books. "I remember I used to spent a lot of time reading when I was little." she said while looking at the book. "This one I really liked actually." she said. "I came to talk to you about something actually." she nodded her head. "Have you ever heard of the legendary PSI user Tara?"

"I like to learn as I go, then again, that's probably why I get hurt all the time." Brine then turned to Sakura, "Is this private? Should I let you guys talk alone?"

Jack nodded. "Any PSI user worth their salt has." He said with a smile. "But why bring Tara up now?" He asked curiously.

"No it's okay Brine." Sakura said to Brine before turning to Jack. "Well she's my mother." she nodded her head sagely. "And I just called her."

(OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in all these weeks. Serious IRL issues I needed to straighten out before it all came crashing. Especially sorry to Stellar, whom I've probably given a migraine by now. However, with his permission, I shall bring my character back in. Again, really sorry all.)

The door opened to the base as Serah walked through, slumping on the frame. Damn... that had been a hard one. Swiping the hair from her face, she looked down at her hands and arms. They were a bit beaten and dirtied. Then again, she'd done quite a lot during the time. She was only happy that she could bring home a reward for the others. Her blade dropped down to the floor, disappearing into mist as she made her way toward the bathroom.

Her walk was still as dignified as ever. Really, all she could say was that she was tired. She was sure she looked it, too. She had her last pair of clothes to change into in her bag, making her way to the shower immediately. She would make note to speak to everyone after she'd cleaned herself up.

Right after Sakura said that Tara was her mom, Brine dropped his book with a thud, "Sorry... sorry I was surprised."
