Thread: Benders and Pokemon, a Crossover (SU)

Fire, Earth, water, Air. These are the four elements that can be bent, or so it was thought, as time passed and the people started to explore more kind of bending were discovered. Sixteen types were found. Things are not all flowers and rainbows, as the people are starting to show discontent, and this world may fall into ruin. Will you save it or destroy it?


This is a Crossover between Pokemon and Avatar the last Airbender. The first thing to note is that this takes place in an alternate universe from the show, Where the Nations have not gone to war, and we still have many airbenders. Second all humans can find a partner that Matches their bending. Third we have a new group called the mystic guild.

The Water Tribe: Unlike most of the groups of this world, there are two Water tribes the northern and southern. Both are large Tribes ruled by a head chief.
Benders in the water tribe:

Waterbenders: they can control water, and move it to their will; they may also specialize in healing. They can have water types as their companions
Icebenders: benders that can lower the temp, they have control over ice. Of course they like Ice types.
Plantbenders: By Manipulating water in plants, Plantbenders can control them, they can also make things like leafs appear. They like Grass types.

The Fire Nation: A strong nation that is on some islands, they are ruled by the Monarchy.
Benders in the Fire nation:

Firebenders: they can make and control flames. They use fire types.
Thunderbenders: A group that can make lightning, while the correct name is Lighting benders, thunder sounds cooler. They like Electric types.
Dragonmasters: While not benders, these are people that have a close connection to Dragon types. They can breathe dragon breath, and use dragon types.

The Earth Kingdom: A large Kingdom run by the Earth king, the largest city is called Ba Sing Se.
Benders in the Earth kingdom:

Earthbenders: Benders that control earth can make large slates of earth come out of the ground. Ground is their type.
Rockbenders: Benders that can pull rocks from the ground and toss them with great skill. Use Rock.
Metalbenders: Benders that can bend metal like steel types.
Fighters: While not benders, they have amazing power, and can smash rocks with ease.

The Air Nomads: A group of travelers that move from nation to nation, they are ruled by a group of rulers.
Benders in the Air Nomads:

Airbenders: Benders that can control air, they have the ability to fly under their own power. Flying is their type.
Bugspeakers: People that have a special connection to bug types.

The mystic guild: A new group that was formed on land between the fire nation and the earth nations. it is located on very small city heavy Islands.
Benders found in the Mystic Guild:

Shadowbenders: People that can control the Shadows, they use dark types.
Psychics: People that can make thing float, and can read weak minds. Guess what type they use.
Poison Masters: People that can easily identify, cure and infect poison,
GhostBenders: Since people in the avatar world reincarnate, they can not use or talk to ghosts, but may go thru walks, and turn invisible for a short amount of time.

Unlike other Types the normal type does not have a bender, but they can learn how to fight with weapons, or learn how to block bending for a short time, they may be found in any group Except the Air nomads.

No godmodding. This makes it unfair for everyone else.
No bunnying. Not everything has to happen in one place.

Yay! Crossovers!

Name: Kaida Hitonare (Ky-da Hee-to-na-ray)

Age: 14-ish

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Bending: Dragon-master

Appearence: (you spelt it wrong by the way... you spelt apprentice)

Personality: She's pretty shy when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you, Kaida is kind and gentle. She loves pokemon of all types and loves taking care of them. But once you piss her off, she's the worse thing you could meet. She has this sorta stare that can basically pierce anyone's soul and scare the crap out of them. But once she's done, Kaida becomes all nice and shy again. Though she does have some fears, like the fear of speed, cliffs, her shadow, basically everything.

History: Kaida was often teased because she was the only one in her class who couldn't bend. She thought that if she could learn how to firebend, her life would be better. But there was a... "traumatic" experience where she was hanging out near a lake, but managed to nearly drown. As she was slowly dying in the water, something in there found her and brought Kaida back up to the surface. When she started breathing again, she quickly glanced back at the lake and saw a Dratini diving into the water. Ever since that day, she had been visiting the lake to see the Dratini who saved her, whom she quickly befriended. That was when Kaida realized that she didn't have to know how to bend to be happy, she just needed someone who could understand her. Since then, she had been living with two of her pokemon at the edge of a forest.

Pokemon: Dragonair (evolved from the Dratini from History. Name is Haku) and Axew (found around Kaida's home and was taken in. Name is Kiba)

Pokemon's personalities: Haku is a calm and gentle dragon, but can get a bit over-protective when it comes to his friends. Kiba on the other hand, is quite young. So he's Naive and curious, and somehow always ends up in trouble. Haku feels like he has to protect Kiba from getting into too much trouble, but Kiba always averts him.

Appearence:Long black hair that is in a spiky style. Red eyes. White long-sleeved shirt with black hooded vest over it, simple black pants, and brown boots.
Personality:Kaori is carefree and isn't one for rules. He can't stand bullying of any kind and will do something about it if he see's it. He usually jokes around about everything, and is usually happy, but if the situation calls for it he will be very serious. Is very knowledgeable about battle.
History:Kaori grew up with his shadowbender father, knowing very little about his mother. His father taught him all about battles and strategies from the time he was young. One time when his father was teaching him they saw a poochyena being attacked by some other mightyena. Kaori quickly rushed to save poochyena using his shadowbending. He then adopted the poochyena as his best friend. At 15 he decided to leave home to find the only thing he truly knew about his mother:that she had married and had a daughter. Kaori has been traveling hoping to find his sister since.
Pokemon:Blitzkrieg (mightyena evolved from the poochyena he saved) and Siri(a female deino)
Pokemon’s Personality:Blitzkrieg is loyal and protective of Kaori and is always by his side. Like Kaori he is carefree, but is serious when need be. Siri is shy and timid, but willing to do anything for Kaori. She enjoys watching Kaori and Blitzkriegs troublesome actions, and feels scared if they're serious.

Name: Joseph Jonouchi

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Bending: Fighter

Appearance: Joseph has jet-black hair, which he wears at shoulder-length; fair skin; brown eyes; and a wiry, 5'11'' frame. He typically wears a brown tunic with light-brown pants and black boots.

Personality: Joseph is a natural fighter, and is most alive in combat. This doesn't mean he's the type to start fights just for the sake of fighting, but he won't back down once the challenge is issued. He has a strong sense of honor and justice, and will unleash his wrath on those who show a lack thereof, like bullies, criminals, etc. As for those who are good and righteous, Joseph is their best friend, and will do anything to help them.

History: Joseph comes from a family of warriors, and has been trained in various martial arts from an early age. While he may not have the power of a Bender, his natural power and speed more than make up for what some would consider a deficiency. He and Luke have trained together since they were both young, and today can function as complimentary halves of a single fighting force. He then captured Kong while he was still a Mankey and causing trouble in Joseph's village. Since then, Joseph has spent as much time honing Kong's combat skills as trying to curb the Primeape's explosive temper. The latter task, however, has met with limited success.

Pokemon: Lucario (Luke), Primeape (Kong)

Pokemon’s Personality: Luke is easily the calmer of Joseph's two Pokemon, and will often think about what's going on before going into battle--of course, once the battle starts, few can match him. Kong, on the other hand, is very hot-headed and impulsive, and is more likely to get into trouble as a result.
