"Damn... that guy is tough." Laclera coughed.

He then put on a humorous tone and said "Huh, you are carrying me again, must be fate. Anyways where is Winter?"

He then looked and saw the battle and turned white.

"What the bullocks girl, don't go rushing into battles without me." he said as he squirmed, trying to break free of Averia's iron grip.

Jaklo looked at Laclera and Averia and gave them a look of disapproval at making jest of such a serious situation then went into battle himself.

Calling upon Relek, he rode the spiritual wolf shooting arrows at soldiers as he flew past them at unmatched speed.

Relek's teeth were flashing and he pounced upon one soldier, ripping off his head then sent a second soldier flying.

Winter leapt above a soldier's head, stepping onto it as she lunged with her blade out and ready. Slashing at the throat, she sliced a soldier's head clean off of his body. Turning her heel, she stabbed her blade behind her; impaling another.

Averia ran quickly through the city streets, ducking behind a wall with Eliot and the incapacitated Laclera; glaring out at the soldiers that passed by. "Alright..." she said, "Any plans here?"

Alize made hand guns out of her hands then began to fire rapidly at the soldiers.

Turning, Winter watched as the soldier's numbers dropped to zero from Alize's gunshots. Nodding to the girl and Jay; she pointed to the rooftops. "We'll need to get to high ground!"

She didn't know of the danger that she would face.

Neither did Averia, the dark-haired woman rushing toward the train station quickly.

Alize nodded quietly. "Lead the way winter." She said quietly.

Laclera stood as the bullets ricocheted off the walls and the dead soldiers littered the streets after escaping Averia's grasp.

He looked at his team and then sat down in the middle of the corpses. He didn't care that there was blood filling the spot where he sat.

He closed his eyes and waited for a friend.

Raising a wall of fire so his companions couldn't attempt to drag him off, he waited with infinite patience.


Where are you? You purple haired devil......

Averia glared at Laclera, currently within his fire, shaking her head. "Dammit, Laclera!" she cursed through clenched teeth. Turning to a captive soldier, she jammed her staff within his stomach.

Winter saw Laclera waiting within his pillar of fire... for whom he was waiting, it all remained a mystery.

"Sorry Averia..... I'll catch up with you later." Laclera called out and then he went back to his state of perfect tranquility.

Now, it was a waiting game.

Battara was walking through the littered steets of the slums of Aymaria and caught a whiff of Laclera's trail.

Even though it was against his orders, he intended on bringing down the beast.

Once and for all.

Alize looked at winter then sighed. "So, do we wait?.." She asked calmly.

"Apparently," Jay shrugged.

Winter only narrowed her eyes, before turning quickly. "Let's go!" she ordered, beginning to walk away.

Averia turned to her, a look of shock on her face. "What?! And just leave him?!"

"He'll only keep us here for more soldiers to come! He's too stubborn to die!" once finishing, Winter began to walk away toward some side-building steps; leading to the roof.

Averia could only nod, running with her.

"Are you sure what if he gets killed?" Jay asked as he ran alongside Winter.

"He won't..." Winter stated, running up the stairs.

Averia shook her head, turning to run up with her. "If he wants to go and get himself killed, fine!"

"Someone's worried," Jay teased after turning to Averia.

Alize followed quietly. "Sometimes the need of many out weigh the need of one." She explained. She glanced back at the pillar. "You better make out alive.." She muttered.
