Thread: Split Ends: Start-Up

Lindsey came around with the clothes, forcing herself to keep a relaxed smile on her face as she handed them to Lily.

"I asked you first and I'm not the weird creature in here."

"Uh, my name is Cindy. I'm actually just as frightened as you are, if not more."

Lily took the clothes, but struggled to put them on.

"Just try for now," Lindsey said. "I have some money; I'll go and get you some more clothes," She said, running off in Shadow-Human form towards the town.

Laura flew out of the vase [or, if it was destroyed, away from where it used to be] and backed against the wall, high up. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to attack! I don't even know how that happened!" She said, hoping that Felicia wasn't hurt.

"I'm Jet," he said shifting his position a little feeling something odd behind him. Jet looked behind to see he had...two tails!? "Wh-what the!? Me too!?" he exclaimed noticing his new body.

"What the heck are you doing in my house?" Felicia's voice was but a whisper, but had all the strength of an avalanche.

"Yeah, you too, it seems." Cindy noticed the other being in the cell, who was curling against her tail.

"The problem isn't that they're too small," Lily said, "But that I can't actually reach to put them on."

Opal walked over and used psychic on the clothes. "Let me help you."

Jet followed Cindy's gaze. "Another one huh? What do you think happened to us. We look like children of humans and pokemon breeding."

"Dunno, but we're in a cell... Did we get arrested in our sleep or something?"

"Thanks, Opal."

"You...... Look like...... A FRICKING TURTLE TOO!"

"I h-had to make sure you weren't t-telling anyone!" Laura said, staying out of reach. "I'm really sorry! I d-don't like invading people's houses any more than you like me doing so."

Lindsey, upon hearing this, went back to the group. "Oh, that's good. Or should I still get larger clothes, just in case?"

Opal managed to place the clothing properly on Lily.

"Last thing I remember is some men coming to the door and my family giving me to them."

"Might as well."

"What!? You freaks would beat the crap out of me if I told anyone! Of course I'm not going to say anything!" Felicia sat on the floor.

"Last thing I remember was... I don't remember. Everything from the past few days seems out of order."

"I wonder what we should do," Jet said placing his head on his knees.

"No, we wouldn't. We were humans, too, and we've still got human minds," Laura said, allowing herself to relax a bit. "We're not just mindless monsters. Although we still wouldn't appreciate you telling people, because... h-have you ever been in a jail cell before? In a lab? With evil scientists? That's what would happen to us. And we all have feelings, just like you."

"Okay." Lindsey went back towards the town.

"Stare at this girl for a while?" The third resident of the cell got to his feet.

"Just... Get out before one of the house-workers sees you!" Felicia gave Laura a gentle shove towards the door.
