"Help by not helping."

"Pffft. I'm going in there and you can't stop me. Period."

"Guys, guys, calm down. We won't get anything done if we just argue!" Lilith said.
Says the one who can't help but go berserk every hour she thought.

"Look, Ozias, I can see how you feel, but there are some things that some people just can't help with," Laura said. "It feels terrible when you can't do anything about something that's going on, but sometimes that's just how it is... It's that way for everybody at some point, so perhaps life is a little fair in its own way. Just... stop, okay? You've helped a lot in other ways, and nobody's calling you an extra or anything. Please just wait..."
"On the other hand, Ozias' plan makes sense too," Lindsey added. "Well, as long as he had some way to not explode from lack of air pressure."
"Wouldn't the satellite have defenses of some sort?" Scorpion commented.

"Yes, they do have defenses. Well, that's what Sandy told me."

Ozias seemed to consider Laura's speech for a moment. "False. Because everyone is missing one detail. Life gets fair as soon as you work to make it that way."

"That contradicts yourself," Scorpion pointed out.
"Look, okay, it is fair! Everyone gets their chances to help, and you have had and will have plenty, and sometimes others had to stand back when you did things. So now it's your turn to stand back and let someone else help. Okay? Fair's fair, isn't it? Sharing is caring. Taking turns is fair. You've had your turn, so drop it!" Laura said frustratedly.

"Um... what she said!"

"This fight is the one I won't sit out for, got it? If you wanted your chances that much you'd have taken them when you had them. I took mine, and I'll take this one too! This is the fight where I finally make up for what I did. To hell with the 'sharing is caring', this means more to me than you could ever begin to imagine and you aren't taking this from me, understood?"

"You can participate, but please don't be a glory hog, understood?"

"You want to prove you're on our side, but you don't see that you already have, and now you're just overdoing it... Yeah, okay," she added after Anthony spoke.

OOC: If I may offer some of my own insight, I've found life generally isn't fair, primarily because people make it unfair and painful, but people should try to make it just and better for others. Still, we don't, even once we know how we should act, because we all do what we want instead of what we should (which would be doing what is right); it's not fair, but people should try to make it fair. Also, I agree with the idea of Ozias taking his turn out.

Misos headed up to the floor on which Nix was negotiating with one of his newest experiments.

"I see you've met my dear friend and our Project's most powerful affiliate, Nix... so, tell me: what do you think of Infinity?"

He had picked up another bottle of chemicals during his work downstairs and poured its horrible medicine down his throat as he overheard them and thought to himself.

Fuck...... Atlas, you really haven't thought this out. Do you have any idea about what sort of collateral damage what you have done will cause?! We're going to lose parts of our Project which we might not be able to replace! The investment which everyone has given so much for is all going straight to hell! Once they wreck us, ruin our plans, trash our headquarters, and take her away, all our work (our painful and wearisome collaboration which we've forspent so much on to finish) will just be a complete vanity! Those Merges have devised a means by which to overcome you and your excuse for a form of self-protection and control already. Damn you. If they have the least quantity of competence and aren't entirely mentally inhibited, they definitely have discovered a sufficient number of flaws in you and what you've conspired to get her onto their side. At least I'll reap what I can from this, and especially the sweetness in watching everyone else suffer as they try to save everything and keep it all from falling apart. What's such a shame is how she's going to have to leave. She could have actually been useful. I certainly will keep oversight on my conniving, spiteful 16-year-old egotist once she leaves. We suffered a ton of expenses to accomplish what we have with her, and I am definitely not going to let all our suffering be for nothing.

"That's what I meant," Ozias frowned, and was gone.
