"I dunno, I guess... Wait... Listen," Sophia frowned.
"To what...?" Zero asked.
"Sssh!"

"I don't hear anything." Nikita whispered. "Please describe it."

"Exactly! Which means no traffic on the roads outside! It's just stopped!" She ran up to the window, looking down at the street. "O Arceus..."

Nikita joined Sophia. "That's... Creepy."

"Uh, streets filled with baby Merges marching towards the building? That's beyond creepy."

"May I have a barfbag and some handcuffs?"

"Uh... What are the handcuffs for?"

Ozias and Emily reached the rooftop, watching Project members begin to round up the babies.
"What're you gonna do?" Emily asked, "Blow them up?"
"No, don't be stupid, they're only children," he smiled, "They can't help what happened."
"That makes a change. Being Merged with... Gallade must've done you good."
"Yeah... Yeah, it did." One of the babies in the street noticed them, and started waving. The two of them waved back.
"I'm waving at fat," Emily acknowledged.
"If you think about it, as a diet plan, it sorta works."

"So, if I go insane from this, I won't be able to do anything."

"A test? It would be overkill to create any more than that. If you do, fatten the babies and create more from them. But, now that I think about it, what is the point of an army?"

"Right. That was, uh, sarcastic, right?" Sophia asked.

"It was figurative speech. But since you asked, we aren't going to be able to convert the population without further resistance. The children can... annihilate that resistance."

"No. I'm serious." Nikita backed away from the window. "Sometimes, I have nightmares like this."

"Hmm... Do we still have a backup plan?"

"Uh... I have a barfbag, but..."

"I don't see the need of a failsafe for an operation like this."

"Give me it, now!"

"Because this plan requires an enormous amount of time, energy, and secrecy." Sandy coughed. "A swarm of inhuman infants is far from discreet."

Sophia did as asked.

"You said it yourself. Your plan is nearly complete, is it not?"

Nikita pulled the bag out of Sophia's hand and pressed it against his mouth.

"Almost. We have the mutagen, but we're still on the lookout for a compatible subject."
