Thread: Split Ends: Start-Up

OOC: In other words, a black hole. But she's completely solid, with a definite shape that resembles an Arceus Merge, and doesn't do the, uh, how do I put this..? 'Sucky-swallow-y-thing'.

"Pitiful. You fight for your lives so desperately, yet you don't have a goal. Perhaps I'd still be willing to work with you, if you told me a plan, one that goes beyond fighting the Project. But that will never happen, now will it?" The flames clenched tighter at an increasing rate.

The Scorpion Queen, knowing that she wouldn't be able to convince Gracie just by saying they wanted to be alive, racked her brain. "We... We could build a society! For all merges to stay at. A peaceful place where... the project couldn't get to us... and we could just live. See... the project... ruined our lives forever. Do you think that I can go home like this? We could have our own place, and let all the merges come there, and... and all of our lives, including yours, wouldn't be as ruined... as they used to be."

"Your conviction is weak," Gracie hissed. The fires closed in, about to start sublimating the Merges, when Mia spoke up.
"Miss? You, uh, look good."

Max was curling up in terror again.
Scorpion stared at Mia for a moment, then turned to Gracie to see her reaction.

"That's what I wanted to hear, kid. You all have my support." The flames simply vanished, leaving only burnt grass to show that they had been there.

"That's what convinces you," June said exasperated

"Yeah. Do you realize how hard it is to maintain a body like mine?"

"I maintain mine pretty easily."

"The wings. They get grimy quite easily, and given their size, it takes an eternity to keep them looking good!"

Scorpion was somewhat confused. She had never cared too much about her appearance and didn't see why others did, either. Whatever. At least she's not trying to kill us anymore. She opened her file again, which she had been holding, and read the requirements for Shadow-human state, along with some other things. "Heh. X. That's a new one."

Mia read through her own file. "Doesn't seem too hard. But... No, it is."

OOC: That was Dark Pulse earlier.

"Alavh amivogob az ot,*" Kris sighed. She seemed to have all but recovered, excepting her pale face.

*Thank the gods for that.

"Not doing to good, are you?" Mia and Rina turned to the source of the voice, but Gracie faced away, quietly and darkly chuckling. "First Agamemnon, now you. Is the Project running out of Hunters?"
"You misunderstand. I'm here to assist you all."

"Ap, milsim ad it mejurevj... Marom amen arobzi u jovo ivazrd.*"

*Well, I guess I believe you. I have almost no choice like this.

The Scorpion Queen wasn't understanding anything at the moment. She just had thoughts floating around her head. I'm a cat. Betrayal. Betrayal? Friend. Betrayal. Understand not. Shiny. Cat. Slime. Dark. Missing soul. Large child. slime. cat. not understand. wait. help. cat. what. scorpion. no. why. mutant. pokemon. person. merge. mutant. no. what.

OOC: Just to elaborate on why psychics (like Rina) can't find Scorpion's name- Her name is buried deep and heavily 'guarded' inside her mind. She knows it, but she doesn't think it, so it's sort of like it's not there at all, though it is. Where they would find someone's name (like you did with June) inside her head is blank, rather than having either her real name or Scorpion Queen. It's just not there.
Sorry if I took way too long to explain something simple; I seem to do that a lot, including in real life.
I'm just saying that because I might expand on it for character development, and in case someone wants to say something about it in the RP.
