OOC: Split Ends? More like Loose Ends, with all the back-and-forth confusion.
I hate to say this, but we really should wrap this up. There's nothing we can do that would be truly new. And I would have truly appreciated a comment or two on events, without asking, instead of immediately taking everything for granted.

OOC: You mean you wanted us to just activate events without permission?
Aw. I'm sad for its end. I'll be sure to join in your next RP, if you decide to make one.

OOC: Comment on them, not trigger them. For example, Lexi showing up. We didn't have any Legendary or Multi-Merges before that, so...

OOC: We didn't? And wasn't the point of restarting this to improve things like that?

OOC: Yeah, but we started with Multi-Merges this time, so the only thing worth startling anyone was the fire demon with flaming hair.

OOC: Oh...
So... this RP is over now...?

OOC: Ooh, I've got it! Once the arc that PolkJolt has planned is over, we end the Project, at the cost of Merges becoming known to the public. I want to see how they'll be treated by society. Gods? Second-class citizens? Untouchables? Equals? Livestock?

OOC: Genius. Yes. Do that. I'm gonna make a normal human character for when that happens.

OOC: As am I. A few, in fact, including Felicia's dad. Wot.

OOC: Oh no, her dad. D:
Should we continue where we are, for now? With PolkJolt's plan?

OOC: Yep. Drumroll, please!

"You all don't need to dress up like humans," Gracie began, "Because I know a little trick that's even more effective!" Gracie's body melted into darkness, swirling around like a pitch-black tornado before each and every improbable particle of shadow hit an invisible form, clinging to it and reformatting into flesh, bone, and tissue. The change, however, was apparent, even after the vortex had died down.

Because Gracie was now completely human.

"Ot im es inic repus tivoknicu,*" Kris smiled slightly despite her ailment, yet unaware of the irony in her statement.

*That seems super effective.

"Okay, so your DNA which was replaced still exists, but it's not within your chromosomes anymore. That's where Shadow-human state comes in. As Merges, we have more control over our individual cells than any other being, allowing us to shove our old DNA back in there! But it doesn't last forever. Extended exposure to sunlight will reverse the process, after which cooldown is necessary."

OOC: How's that for an explanation?

OOC: That's good. Makes sense.

The Scorpion Queen's eyes, at first, were wide with shock at the transformation, where she leapt back in surprise, then she raised one eyebrow in confusion about the explanation. "What the-?! ...Right, uh... I speak English. Anyway, that's really cool how you can transform like that, but... how do we do it? I don't have any experience with... um... rearranging my cells. And it seems dangerous, anyhow."
