I live in Washington. The day it's sunny during January here is the day hell freezes over.

Try temperatures that rarely go over 70 degrees, the weather almost always consisting of clouds and most of the time rain, spastic weather that can't make up its goddamn mind, exemplified by when it dumped record-breaking snowstorms that knocked out power throughout the entire western half of the state, two once-in-a-blue-moon thunderstorms within the span of about two days, and, in one particular instance, dropping an altering pattern of snow, rain, and hail on me, SWITCHING EVERY FIVE SECONDS.

The summer isn't much better, where the weather suddenly shifts to blisteringly hot temperatures. One summer, we got stuck in the middle of a heat wave, where temperatures were over 90 degrees DAILY.

We haven't had any snow (beyond brief flurries, at least) yet either, and while I don't really want any (Christmas is over anyway, and when you live out in the boonies, snow can make travel a real pain), I admit we need it.

...If for no other reason than because we ordered all these !*@$*&% snow shovels and if no one buys them, we'll be storing them for a year...
