Thread: Pokemon: Kanto Chronicles

Deandre ran towards towards pallet town as fast as he could, as he had woke up late and was eager to recieve his fast pokemon. When he arrived in Pallet Town he quickly located Professor's Oak's lab and opened in the door in haste. "Sorry I'm late!" he said quickly.

"Err..." Signs was surprised at the arrival of the new comers but quickly snapped out of it. "May I have squirtle professor?"

"That's fine." Prof Oak said to Signs, as he handed him Squirtle's Poke'ball, along with 5 unused one's, and Poke'dex.

Prof Oak then turned to Deandre. "You're just on time, he said."

Meanwhile, Alice's new Gastly circled and floated around the girl, not hinting any fear like he usually felt from people. He only felt pure admiration from her. "You're such a wonderful creature, I think I will call you Marx." Alice said to the Ghost Pokemon.

Squirtle happily jumped into Signs arms. "Cheerful aren't we. I think I'll call you Squirt," he said to him. "Professor I'll be taking my leave now," Signs said leaving the lab with his new partner in his arms.

"Can I have Bulbasaur Professor Oak?" Deandre asked.

"Wha....What about me!!!! You said you were giving away Pokemon and I want one!!!!"

Mike stood up and approached Professor Oak. He took a deep breath to calm down and then calmly said.

"Sorry for my past actions Professor but I'd like a Charmander."

"Here you are, Charmander and Bulbasaur." Prof Oak said as he gave everyone their first Pokemon, 5 Poke'balls, and a Poke'dex.

"Go Charmander!" Mike happily said.

Out came an orange reptilian creature resembling a tailed bipedal salamander with some dinosaur qualities. The fire on its tail gave out a warm feeling and Mike really wanted to touch the tip of the tail. He resisted the temptation and happily hugged his Charmander, making sure he was at a safe distance from his flaming tail.

"I'm naming you Mark!" Mike said as he put down Mark. He returned Mark back to its Pokeball and kept it on his right Pocket. He placed the empty Pokeballs on his left pocket and the Pokedex on his right jacket pocket.

"Hey you, guy with Bulbasaur! I challenge you to a battle!" Mike said, pointing and referring to Deandre who had just received his Bulbasaur.

Deandre sighed in response "I have a name you know, and second of all we just got the Pokemon, shouldn't we wait a bit before battling" Deandre stated.

"You should take it easy, you should at least practice with some Wild Pokemon before you battle an official battle." Prof Oak suggested.

Heeding his advice, Alice exited the Pokemon Lab. "Let us be on our way Marx." Alice suggested to her new Gastly. Alice and Marx then made there way to Route 1.

"Thank you for the Pokemon Professor" Deandre said, then walked outside eagerly, as he was looking forward to the adventure and was happy about finally being a Pokemon Trainer.

"Late, late, LATE!" Jake cried, erupting out of the door of the small home owned by his uncle and emerging out into Pallet Town. He sped down the road, annoyed at himself for not setting his alarm the night before, but somewhat glad that he could finally break in his new running shoes. Jake was familiar with the lab's location; he had passed it many times while making his way around town. As it appeared just up ahead, he pondered over which starter Pokemon to choose. Any one would make a great partner, but he figured that some would already have been taken before he arrived. Jake dashed up to the front door and knocked before entering.

OOC: Seems most of us are on late night EST time.

Signs walked along route 1 finding a wild rattata to battle. The battle wasn't long and wasn't quite yet exciting as Squirt only knew tackled and tail whip, luckily the rattata was much the same resulting in a competition of who could land the most tackles without getting hit. Signs won.

OOC: But I won't be able to stay up this late once school starts again (Which is monday)

IC: "Come in." Prof Oak called to Jake.

Alice and Marx took out a Weedle with repeated amount of Lick's. Alice then decided to attempt to find a Pokemon to catch. She started to look for Poke'mon in tall grass.

OOC: Okay everyone, you can catch any Pokemon you want as long as the enviroment permits it, and it's proper enough for the time durring the RP. You're not going to catch an Onix in the middle of the ocean, or a Dragonite on Route 1. Be detailed with captures, and battles are Anime Style. There are no move limits, and You're pokemon can use any move they can learn. (Just don't make it to strong at the moment though.)

Signs headed along route 1 battling any pokemon that challenged him. He would stop in Viridian City to heal Squirt then head off for the forest where he would most likely spend the night in and hopefully catch a pokemon.
