Jake was also sitting on the couch, leaning back against the wall, Blade silently sleeping on the floor next to him.He thought that if he was indeed going to be travelling alongside Tana, he might as well get to know her better. "Whatcha reading?" he asked, peering over her shoulder.

Tana smiled slightly. "I have no idea. I'm from Johto, I dunno who half the celebrities in this old thing are. I think it mighta been published before I was born."

"I think one of those is Blaine back in his thirties. I can tell cause he still has that ridiculous mustache." Jason added having just come back from the front desk.

"I find his mustache to be epic rather than ridiculous." Jake joked. "Johto, huh? I've never been there, even though it's just on the other side of Mt. Silver to the west."

Tana shrugged. "Nothin' all that special, really. Lotta grass. Lotta trees. Lotta rivers. It's a lot like Kanto, honestly. I mean, from what I've seen of it so-far."

Jake chuckled. "I plan to travel all over. I wanna see the world outside of Kanto. That's not too easy these days, though..."

Tana nodded. "I'd like to see different places. But I know my mom and my sisters want me to just go home. There is no way I'm spending the rest of my life in Goldenrod."

"heh. By the time I'm done in Kanto I'm just hoping there is a world to explore." Jason said rather jokingly, "After all the world must be ending if my luck keeps up."

Tana raised an eyebrow. "Wow, you're gloomy. Ever heard of being optimistic?" She, too, was just joking.

"Trust me that is optimism when you're from Lavender." I joked.

The city was a center of grief and pain. If you came out of there not somewhat scarred then you have no soul or heart.

Tana smirked. "I know what you mean. Growing-up in Goldenrod is hard."

"You live next to the world's largest graveyard? You get your first summer job at it? The town is creepy as hell, but ya get used to it."

Tana raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay-then. Is your Charmander all healed?"

"Yeah I was more concerned for Zek though. He did take a ember at point blank." I reminded Tana, "So we got the route to the league gate and the route to the forest going out of town. either could be a good choice"

Tana shrugged. "You'd know better than me, I'm guessing."
