Due to Pawniard's typing I quickly returned Zek and sent out Jercio. His ember attack would hit super effective. If only we could land a hit. The damn pawniard was leaping around and using the trash in the alley as cover, which quickly caught fire and spread.
"Damn it Jercio get back." I returned my pokemon as the fire leapt towards us.
The pawniard dashed off down the alley as fire consumed the area. I ran into the building besides the alley and right on through to the back. The fire had spread fast and cornered the pawniard. It was backing off trying to keep from getting burned. even with its metal body the fire would be very painful.
"I'll give you an offer. come with me and I'll get you out."
With the circumstances as they were the pawniard quickly agreed. I threw a pokeball at it and the device caught him before bouncing back to me. the ball was hot to the touch, but nothing I couldn't handle. I sprinted off from the alleyway before I got pegged for an accidental arson.
Tana rejoined Jake, humming under her breath and spinning a Pokeball on her finger.
EVENT
You see on a Tv screen in a shop nearby an ad for the Kanto Battle Frontier Campaign. Palmer Will be holding an exhibition match against a surprise trainer tomorrow at the Viridian city gym. There is also a door prize of rare fossil pokemon offered by the surprise trainer.
As soon as Jason spotted the ad he knew he needed to go. He may not be a fan of the frontier, but a free fossilized pokemon would be an excellent addition.
Tana, being from Johto, didn't know exactly what the Battle Fronteir was, but it sounded interesting, and she would like a fossil Pokemon.
"Sweet! A fossil Pokemon. They're not commonly found in the wild." Jake explained.
((Well shall we rejoin for lunch?))
((If that was a legit question, sure.))
Jason headed back to the Pokemon Center hoping he'd find the others back there. He had forgotten to get their numbers, and currently had no idea where they were.
Tana was looking at a newspaper in the lobby. When Jason walked-in, she glanced-up and smiled.
Jake busied himself by organizing items in his bag. "You're back." he said to Jason. "Catch any Pokemon?"
"Would I be back here if I didn't?" Jason replied pulling out his third captured pokemon's pokeball.
Tana laughed. "He's got a point, Jake."
"After I heal my team how 'bout we grab lunch? I'm sure we can find somewhere decent to eat." Jason suggested.
"Okay, works for me." Jake agreed. He grabbed his backpack. "After that, I wanna do some training."
